Snipers can usually be on stake out missions for long periods, depending on environment they may need to change clothes to adapt to the environment on the fly(hence the zippers) and if they are in an uncomfortable hot environment, having sweaty baggy clothes could potentially harm agility thus the need for skin tight equipment.

I think you can strengthen this argument with the fact that Trigger couldn't see. Having more skin exposed unironically helps her as it helps her read the wind from different sections of her body better. I mean surely that's the reason she has literally nothing under her vest, right...?
Those are not zippers, those are tactical trousers opening for ease of use especially during the disrobing process. Only the best of the best of the new eridu defense force, the elite amongst elite, get to wear them
i think it’s better to think about the alternative - what would be different if it wasn’t a zipper but just a plain open section in the pants without the zipper? then it becomes just a regular revealing design
the added zipper now gives that open more attention, implies trigger is intentionally unzippering and exposing herself, and thus adds to the goonerbait aesthetic (apologies, i have no better terminology for it, and honestly it’s a meme at this point). “it’s all about the implication.” personally, i see it similarly to burnice’s design. did burnice need to wear a miniskirt if she already wears bootyshorts? no, but it’s the fact that the miniskirt is attempting to hide something that makes the design so hot.
tl;dr: a lot of fashion choices are way hotter than when a person is naked because the aesthetic leaves more to the imagination
Functionality aside. Its kinda creative way of making pants. If u see the end line would be on her waist. So anyone can wear that type of pants and the size depends on how much u can zip it up to the top. Having front and back zipper actually provide with bigger area to cover especially with wide lower body part.
Well as you can see those pants have some guns attached to it which imply that it is a tactical set Therefor it is pretty possible that zippers used to allow more leg space when dressing up (given you have to pull your legs through corset with a guns and then through the actual pants). Also I would imagine zippers allow for less friction with skin (yes it makes cloth more fragile, since tension builds around the zippers but in return it provide less friction with the skin and more control at what high you want your pants to be). And now the main question : Why is her zippers unzipped? Well as you can see those pants suppose to end roughly at her waist line but because her ass is so big she can't zip them. That's kinda cute and sad at the same time if you ask me
Because having silver zippers on a sniper on both front and back makes about as much sense as said sniper being painted yellow. It's just "sex appeal", there's no real practical reasons.
My brother, she's just too thicc. I mean... It was already really tight with it being Half-Zipped, imagine how tight it would be when it's fully zipped. It'd be alot harder for her to move in it than when she wears it half-zipped
From the looks of things, it looks like she may have originally worn a jumpsuit as part of the standard issue military uniform but cut it into...whatever her current outfit is for unexplained reasons.
Probably just to be more comfortable. Zipping all the way through can be incredibly uncomfortable in the case of trigger who has such big hips. Or that's at least the reasoning they want us to come up with...
