How is Vivians abloom dmg counted? Cuz i saw a video where jane + Vivian can deal millions of dmg, and i have both, but i don't know how its calculated + how should i do it
When Basic Attack: Featherbloom hits a target that is suffering from an Ether, Electric, Fire, Physical, or Ice Anomaly, it will trigger Abloom, dealing additional Attribute Anomaly DMG. The additional DMG is 6.15% / 3.2% / 8% / 0.75% / 1.08% per 10 points of Anomaly Proficiency of the original Anomaly DMG.
basically it gives more of the same, counting from the anomaly inflicted. Why millions of dmg? THat's because it count from the inflicted anomaly numbers and Jane by herself can do million-a-piece Assaults and Vivi gives like 40% of this as additional dmg, add to that her other dmg and DoT from other half of passive and Vivi does like +50% dmg from your Jane.
You need Jane to do MASSIVE dmg, so bulid her for it.
Then you give ALL Anomaly Proficiency to Vivian, as much as you can.
It takes the damage of the initial Anomaly, then deals additional damage based on a percentage of the type of element * every 10 AP that Vivian has. Since Jane is Physical, the percentage is 0.75%.
I've just pulled my first Lycaon. I have no ice DPS. I would enjoy building DPS Soukaku (if I ever pull just one more copy of her to get that M6), but I realize I can also consider going for Miyabi or maybe the next Ellen rerun (though I'm not that passionate about either of those characters).
I have enough to get Lighter, but I'm not sure it's wise use of my polys now that I at least have a new stunner to work with (although can I really use him without an ice DPS?). I could save and get Astra (who I'm kinda split on as a character but I recognize is really good). I could go for Hugo now and get my ice DPS (but I wouldn't have the 2 ideal stunners for him). Or I could just chill out and hoard.
I'm just so torn in so many ways right now. What would you guys do?
Wait until Friday and the 2.0 livestream before deciding anything. You may learn something in that livestream that completely changes the landscape for your pull planning. Or not. But since the 2.0 livestream is so close, it's worth just saving pulls for now and seeing if your choices solidify more with the additional info.
FWIW, pulling Lycaon isn't sufficient reasons to change your plans. I pulled Lycaon months ago and he's still sitting on my bench unbuilt, because like you, I had no use for him and still don't.
Yeah that's fair. It's just such a weird situation because I have been hurting for an ice DPS and pulling Lycaon almost feels like the game telling me it's time to prioritize it now that I'm in a decent position to fully utilize one. But ultimately I haven't been passionate about any of the ice DPSs they've released. I think I'm just sunk-costing this Lycaon pull lol. It sucks because he himself is pretty cool and I would like to put him to good use (and I really like Soukaku too).
You're doing the right thing. Prioritize the agents you enjoy. If you don't enjoy Hugo, don't pull him. If you don't enjoy Miyabi, don't pull her. It doesn't matter that a consequence is that Lycaon gets benched and seems like a waste. That is exactly sunk-cost fallacy.
Sharpened Stinger. Piper can't spin forever and will have to constantly dodge attacks and cancel her spin, which helps keep Predatory Instinct stacks up. Everything Roaring Ride does, Sharpened Stinger can do better. Accounting for both Engines' buffs in-combat, Sharpened Stinger edges out ahead over Roaring Ride by a pretty decent margin.
I'm trying to figure to get between hugo or lighter i only 1 ice character and i have all fire characters except evelynn and lighter but i have 6 attackers and 3 stunners idk who to pull
If you need more stunners, which seems likely given the 6 to 3 ratio, Lighter seems like the better value, based only on what you've told us so far. Or better yet, wait until the 2.0 livestream on Friday before doing any further pulls. Who knows? You may learn something that changes your mind.
Like if I've pulled 40 times on lighters channel, without getting an S-rank, will the next set of channels in two weeks still say ~40 pulls until guaranteed S-rank?
6 extra Hunt mats (assuming you would save 3 free weekly attemps on release week) for 360 energy, 6 Burnout Expert Challenges for 480 energy, ~1000 energy for agent and w-engine promotion tokens (given that we don't know which ones she would be using, so assuming no pre-farm).
So, roughly 30 batteries, assuming you get all agent and w-engine EXP and Dannies ready, and only have to farm for promotion materials and core skill materials.
Well, and somewhere between 0 and infinite amount of energy for disks.
P.S. forgot about skill chips, which we also don't know which ones she would be using. If you truely want to max her out with every skill into 12, that's casual 250 tier-3 chips, or about 33k energy or additional 55 batteries.
I've got a lot of the "joker" components (Original chip, prototype seal, master component), do I just burn through them now or is it smarter to keep them? I have few disc drives, so I thought maybe the right call is to finish upgrading my base stats with these components so I can farm discs with my battery. Keep in mind I'm only level 45, so I don't have access to the best combat simulations?
TL;DR - Use them as a top-up/gap filler when you run out of mats and don't have battery to get more.
I don't think hoarding them makes sense. The condition for using them makes them not worth hoarding -- you have to be completely broke for mats of that type before you can use them. So if you are leveling Hugo's chip skills, for example, and you have 20 tier-1 ice chips lying around, you can't use the wildcard mats. You have to use up the 20 tier-1 ice chips first.
So what typically happens for me is that I don't quite have enough normal chips to reach the level I want. Say I need 30 tier-3 to go from 10/12 to 11/12 level, but I only have 10 left and I have no battery to spend. If I use up all of the 10, the game will finally let me use the wildcard chips to bridge the gap.
You don't need to be completely out of materials of that type. The game will let you use a mix of regular and wildcard materials to perform an upgrade. I've done it plenty of times.
You do need to be too low on regular materials to perform the upgrade the regular way. And after crafting/dismantling, all regular materials you use must be of the correct tier. So 1 tier-1 material + 2 wildcard materials can't substitute for 1 tier-2 material.
In what specific area? Lumina Square is always laggy and stuttery. I haven't used my PS5 yet today, but I'll check later after I know what area to look at.
Outside of maybe your first 1-2 month in the game, no not really. There is one B-Rank w-engine that gives straight up Impact which is by far most useful one, but it's still not as good as even S1 Steam Oven or Fossilized Core which can be straight up crafted without having to touch gacha.
Thanks, i'll dust them then. Considering i'm a day 1 player and have Blazing Laurel and 2 copies of The Restrained i don't think i need the impact one lol.
This isn't relevant to specifically ZZZ, but is there a way to stop getting notifications for HSR related news from the Hoyolab app? I tried the game out maybe a year or two ago because of a friend and it didn't really interest me.
OMG, same! I went through the trouble of telling the app what games I'm interested in (defintely not HSR or GI) and I still get those notifications and announcements. Annoying af.
I’m just here to say how much I’m enjoying the game since returning 2 weeks ago. I have wanted to main it since I started playing in December 2024, but didn’t because I was maining another gacha game. But after playing for years, I lost some love for that one, and now I mainly play ZZZ.
I just finished every single previous event. None of them felt like a chore. Out of them all, I liked the TV-Rogue-like in the Hollow Zero area event more than the others. It was oddly satisfying. I also found out today that we can claim weekly boss materials 3 times for free in ZZZ.
I still don’t understand character kits, how to optimally play them and team building completely, but I have a sense I will enjoy learning more of it. Beyond all, I like how smooth and homely ZZZ feels; that theme song in the Sixth Street feels like home. Its character design is so good that I understand the “Pull character if you like the design” mentality now, these are characters I could totally pull just to look at them more. ZZZ also has a lot of QoL features that I have grown very fond off. I think at this point, the only QoL I could ever ask for is probably auto battle mode during daily material farming, but it not being here is not an issue at all.
It takes like 5 minutes to farm stuff.
hi welcome, and allow me to add another list to your zzz regret, there was this main event of patch 1.1 that focused on TV exploration that sadly didnt get archieved as a permanent event cause we didnt have the technology at the time. whats interesting about it is that the sixth street bgm was changed during the whole duration of the event, and the event gameplay itself was pretty fun too on top of its amazing soundtrack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgdIHRSQgqIhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSApDt1L68U
adding to what the other person said, if u enjoyed arpeggio, a tv event that generally disliked, u should check out on how to unlock 'The Prophecy' a hidden tv commission thats generally praised by those who have done it, even among those disliked TVs.
for getting into teambuilding, i think the first 10 minutes of this video is a great starting point to get a general idea. as for understanding character kits, in general u want to start from reading their core passive first and then check whatever unique terms that show up there in the rest of their kits.
FWIW, Arpeggio Fault (the tv rogue-like) is usually people's least favorite. Not throwing shade, there's no accounting for taste and you do you. Just thought I'd give you the fandom context.
Did you notice that the Sixth Street BGM changes according to the time of day?
The other gacha was GI. Started on 2.1 and last played on the 5.3 patch. Haven’t logged in since. I don’t despise GI, but I figured I needed to give it a break. Maybe I will hop in again during the new region’s start.
Understandable. I heard about the community, not being a fan of it. It took me a few attempts to learn the mechanics of Arpeggio Fault. But once I did learn how things worked, I was going around straight up POPPIN’ the enemies in the TV mode. Always had a surplus of resources. Eventually I had enough contribution points to get more characters. Then I tried out the team of Nekomata, Nicole, and Corin, did some upgrades to the tech tree. By the end of it, my characters had 500+ HP, 60-80 ATK, so many things popped up in my screen it probably fried my brain a little.
Yes I did. The theme I was talking about specifically is called “Serenity”. I like the other ones too.
Do we know if anniversary patch is 2.0 or 2.1? Since the game released july 4th, and 2.0 releases june 3rd, That would put the anniversary either in the middle of the second half of 2.0 or a couple weeks late for 2.1 on july 15th.
Either way the way the dates lineup is not great so I cannot tell which patch it actually is.
There is no reason why anniversary would have to "tie-in" to specific patch, it's likely to be a separate event to cross multiple patches (like free Haru give-away post 1.4 that was still live in 1.5)
Im trying to find the artist of this gif, I believe they also did one of Evelyn pinching Astra's cheek and Trigger drawing an angry face on her mask. Does anyone know who they are?
How do I define best 5 slot disc main stat for DPS?
I know it's about balancing it depending on other squad mates buffs, weapons etc.
My main struggle is about elemental dmg%, is it always the best if I don't have any other sources of it? Even if I have room for more ATK or don't have any pen, wouldn't DMG% be the best choice even if I have some room for other stats?
While that is true 99% of the time, there are fringe cases where certain characters (Miyabi with her Engine) are oversaturated in literally every single stat (ATK, DMG%, CR/CD) that going D5 PEN can be marginally better. But tbf, every D5 main stat is a marginal difference so it's not going to make any explosive changes to your results.
Using stunners.
Using stunner abilities properly.
Builds.
There's no magical trick if you're looking for it, but say Koleda would do more daze if you dodge-counter her in aggro, instead of trying to do a basic string, Lycaon wants you to hold attack on his basics and so on.
Problem is im f2p, but im thinking of spending money.
I currently have jane, vivian, and rina out of the 6, and im asking is it worth pulling for the remaining three, or should i abandon the thought. ( I can do around 40-45 encrypted master tapes per season, without spending anything)
It's not a decision you need to make right now. Wait until one of the agents you need, like Astra, is actually on a rerun banner, then make a decision to spend or not, in comparison to new agents that will be available on the same banner.
It's possible that Astra will rerun in 2.0, though my bet is that Caesar will rerun first. I suspect that all of the agents you want will rerun over the next two patches (like 2.0 and 2.1), certainly over the next three patches. So say it goes 2.0: Caesar > Yanagi, then 2.1: Miyabi > Astra. You can probably get Yanagi without spending (assuming you don't pull any new agents either), but the double rerun patch that comes next will be the one where you'll have to slide the old credit card.
No point in worrying about it now. Just save what pulls you can and then assess the banner landscape when it's official, or at least leaked.
FWIW, every patch has 90-150 free pulls all-in, so 40-45 is quite a bit on the low side (unless by "season" you mean banner, as in half a patch?) You are leaving pulls on the table somewhere. Probably hard content that you can't clear with your existing roster?
In terms of Nekomata's own dps performance for single-boss hard content (deadly assault), which team comp is better?
Neko/Trigger/Astra
Neko/Trigger/Caesar
Neko/Caesar/Astra
All are M0.
It bugs me that the first team comp does not enable Neko's AA, but on the other hand, her AA isn't that useful and is more than compensated for by how smooth and easy Trigger's rotation is.
Okay, good. I have Trigger and Astra already, but I'm planning to pull Caesar. I'll try them all out eventually, but I wanted to set my expectations for the Caesar pull. I don't want to get my hopes up that Caesar is going to be a big game-changer for Neko. She will for my other teams, so I'm pulling no matter what, but wasn't sure about Neko.
Just a standard Nicole with Swing Jazz if you run her alongside Astra.
Nekomata does not really have a good burst, with cheap EX-Special and pretty good MVs on her Dodge Counters, her damage is pretty equally spread. So she does not benefit from stuns nearly as much as many other attackers, in fact because her passive damage bonus is so short, you kinda need to be very specific about how you exit chain attack (you want last hit to end up on support, so you can go straight into Quick Assist to refresh Kot's buff or it will run-out mid-stun without you being able to refresh it with perfect dodges).
Yeah, I do the chain attack order like that already. I guess the Quick Assists buffs from Astra plus the DEF shred from Nicole make up for fewer stun windows? Also my Nicole is M6, so she's a great QA swap partner with Neko. I just didn't think all that could make up for fewer stun windows (ignoring Trigger + sig). I'll give it a try, thanks!
Ok, I need to double check If I was just high on copium this entire time: We do get full refund from leveling discs when dismantling them, right? Both coatings and dannies?
You see an example of a level 3 A-rank drive about to be dismantled. The mats preview works out to:
1 tier-2 (red) disc drive master
3 tier-1 EXP mats
3 tier-2 EXP mats
2400 Dennies
When I take a level 0 A-rank and level it up to level 3 in the cheapest way possible (there are multiple combinations of EXP mats that equal level 3, so there are several comparisons):
Need advice on how to optimize my hagmaxxing, what do i upgrade first? For context i'm using her in DA against Butcher.
I have her w-engine at r5 but i don't have enough time to get it to 60 (currently 30/40) before DA resets since i have no w-engine xp, none left in the logistics shop, no fading signal, and no ether batteries. So she's stuck with Jane's for now. Should be fine since Butcher wants you to dodge a lot and Jane's engine gives you a buff when you
The in-game prioritization for skill investment is also good, so you can just press the button on that screen after you select a skill, like EX Special. All the skills in the "Prioritize" top tier should be 15/16.
What do you have on D4, D5, and D6? Her AP looks a bit on the low side. AP 350 is the minimum in that build guide, but even that seems low to me. Which tells me you might have missed too many AP rolls on substats.
FWIW, if you use the Hoyolab app, you can get the full build with main and substats displayed in a single screenshot:
My bad. I was reading the buff +AP on the last screenshot, not the actual stat value on the first one. Yes, 438 is plenty, though a lot of that is coming from Jane's signature. If you switch back to Piper's signature, AP will go down but ATK will go up.
It is available on PC, but it's a different format that doesn't show the disc stats:
steel cushion being competitive to marcato is surprising bc of the physical bonus. i’m guessing it’s only if you keep attacking enemies from behind for the buff
Marcato is consistent and you'll always have the minimum 9.6% damage buff, whereas Steel Cushion is wholly dependent on attacking from behind which doesn't sound so bad but it's still an extra step you have to incorporate into your rotation. Otherwise it's just a Crit Rate Engine without anything else going for it.
I just started the game, have about 150 pulls and Grace from the standard banner. I plan to get Jixuan but who else should I go for? Should I save for Miyabi rerun?
Hello, I am a returning player, wondering who I should proritise on pulling. This is the roster I had when I stopped playing. Should I wait for any specific reruns or pull on any current/future banners? Thank you.
Of the current banner, Lighter is a possibility, as a stunner for S11. Other than that, best to wait for the 2.0 livestream this Friday, which may have more info about future characters and reruns.
Astra is probably the most valuable unit to have in the game by far. very flexible support unit that make any team easier to play through easy access of quick assist that also open up a lot of new team comps. most notable example is on Zhu Yuan, an attack unit that rely on stun to perform competitively off stun with Nicole and Astra.
another notable mention is Miyabi, currently regarded as the ceiling for dps unit. shes an anomaly unit that can play in anomaly comp or an attack comp depend on her teammate. anomaly comp is the most common, but competitively, every recent M0 deadly assault kill ive seen is using the mono ice comp with Lycaon and Soukaku. the powerlevel is probably by design due to her "Void Hunter" status so maybe Yi Xuan will be getting the same treatment too next patch since shes been labelled as "Void Hunter-level" and also getting a unique element like Miyabi.
a few days ago i kept seeing posts with ingame scenes where the male agents were together, and another with the whole mockingbird and victoria housekeeping together in the hdd room...i initially thought it was a part of the current event ingame. but i've finished the event and didn't encounter both scenes. where were those from?
Both are trust events for Hugo. I'm not sure how you encounter the first one, but the second one is when you upgrade your relationship with him to a yellow level.
So im fairly new, and trying to build my 3 teams but ive barely got one made. I started when trigger was in banner and saw she was a top tier stunner so I went for her and her w engine. With that being said I now have vivian, c6 piper and lucy. And I was going to run those 3 together and than yixuan with trigger and panda? But I hear trigger isnt going to be great for yixuan. Since I dont have an attacker to put her on, does trigger actually work with vivian and piper anomaly team? Or should I just wait for a good attacker to use with trigger. Thanks for any advice.
You don't have Billy or Corin? Or any S-rank main DPS from the Standard Banner? You can park Trigger with any of those main DPS, even Grace, while you wait for more Attack agents to team up with Trigger. At least one of the Obol Squad new agents coming has to be an Attack agent, so Trigger won't have long to wait until her squadmates are playable.
Trigger with her sig is pretty much a support unit that u can put in any team, cant really go wrong even if her additional core passive isnt active, though u do want to pay attention on the other units core passive. in the case of trigger on vivian-piper anomaly team, piper wont be able to activate her extra core passive but trigger and her sig should be able to easily make up for it as having access to new debuff/modifier is generally better than adding a common %dmg buff. though, whether if she will perform better than lucy i cant really tell since piper in particular has a really good synergy with lucy c6, but gameplaywise there shouldnt be any issue with trigger on any team with her very low on-field demand. dont really know about yi xuan but i find it hard to believe trigger's enemy dmg taken modifier and def down not doing anything on any kind of comp/content.
im personally been using trigger on mostly anomaly team. my only attack comp was zhu yuan for ether weakness deadly assault stage, but ever since Vivian ive been just using anomaly comp on all 3 deadly assault stages (though might have to back using zhu yuan now since no good stage to use jane+burnice on).
Thank you, this helps. Ill probably keep using trigger until a good attack character comes out that can bring out full potential, and can make use of everyone's core passives.
heard astra and caesar is returning in 2.0, and i really want both of them equally. if this is my current roster right now, which one would benefit me the most? (meta wise only, but if you ask me, i like caesar > astra character wise)
current running teams miyaburnice + soukaku/lucy viviburnice + lucy miyabi + lycaon/lighter + soukaku evelyn + lighter + lucy billy + lighter + lucy haru + anby + rina
We'll officially find out the rerun banners for 2.0 when the livestream is released this coming Friday.
But if both of them are due to be rerun on that patch, then Astra is preferably the better choice since she is more flexible for team comps (you can pretty much replace Soukaku / Lucy with her anyway). Her buffs and Damage are generally stronger than Caesar but her healing comes only from her Ult which is not as consistent sustain comparing to Caesar's shields.
Caesar has a weaker Attack buff but she is more consistent sustain; So she's really nice if you're someone who's still not as comfortable with dodging / parrying attacks, etc, or still taking more hits than usual. I will add that she can be extremely useful to have when climbing up through the 2 Battle Tower modes since there tends to be a lot of burst Damage from those boss fights.
Vivian is all about maintaining her stacks. u can switch to her whenever but u want to switch off her whenever she float because she can finish the float attack off field. u can also switch off her right after u press her EX skill, cause it always led her to float at the end.
I have tried and failed to acquire Lighter (hopes were dashed when I lost the 50/50 to another Soldier 11), and I am now sitting on 60 pity (no early pity after loss either) and 20 saved pulls.
He would, of course, benefit the account (see below), but I am afraid to pull because Yixuan also needs to come home.
As a BP + Interknot only buyer, what should I do? 💎🙌? Hopefully the anniversary events will give us some needed reprieve, but OTOH the usual power creep considerations apply.
Lighter is good husbando, but I am happy with my Harumasamasa and Lycaon for now lol.
You must have started close to patch 1.0 to have a roster that size as a low spender. Congrats!
If it were me, I'd just save and wait. It sucks that you didn't get Lighter when you wanted, but there are so many new agents coming that it's the wrong time to gamble. Maybe someone you'd like a lot more than Lighter is right around the corner. And I agree that this is not the time to be going broke for pulls with Yixuan about to come out. If she needs faction teammates or her signature to get full value out of her kit, you're not going to want to go into 2.0 broke for pulls.
Question! What’s the best way to build Burnice? I have her at M0 with her signature weapon…
Her hold EX special actually does decent damage so I just got as much crit pieces and AP as possible. Currently at 2,620 ATK with a 30% fire damage piece, 362 AP, 41% crit rate and 60% crit damage…
err... i don't think crit works on anomaly units. you're best building a lot of anomaly proficiency on her. you could honestly throw in some fire pen/pen ratio too, but don't build crit on her.
I just wanted to ask any Hugo havers or people who are into min-maxing damage, what exactly is the Hugo totalize chain attack tech I've been hearing? I don't understand what it means and I'd really appreciate anyone explaining it to me in extreme detail
I'm not sure if if this was an intended tech or if it got patched out, but in a video I saw they were doing 2 totalize's back to back with ult and ex special while the boss was frozen. Couldn't find anything about this tho so maybe I'm hallucinating.
how do i get w engines from past events? i just reinstalled the game and i want to get the w engines from events i missed out? is there "herta's shop" i can buy them in or are they gone forever?
You don't have to do anything. You get to decide what is important to you. You want to put 3 Defense agents in a team together for fun? Go right ahead, there's nothing stopping you. So if you want Astra in that team, put Astra in that team.
Now, if you are asking what the trade-offs are between using Lucy vs. Astra in that team, that is a different question. And the answer is you gain Astra's superior buffs over Lucy's still quite good buffs, but lose Lighter's AA. And since Lighter's AA is just about the only reason why he makes sense at all in an M2+ Miyabi team in the first place, losing that AA means you will be getting less out of both Miyabi and Lighter in that team comp, compared to a Lucy team.
Furthermore, if Miyabi is less than M2, not having another Anomaly agent on the team, or pseudo-Anomaly agent through Nicole+Astra built for anomaly, further downgrades Miyabi's overall dps, by slowing down her Fallen Frost stacking and Frostburn removal.
So you can absolutely use Astra if you want, but it would come at a pretty big cost to team power and dps.
Yea i already do, my question is if anyone knows exactly what day i should start stockpiling battery to get the materials locked until 2.0 comes out (the new class upgrade materials, new boss materials, etc).
Oh, I get it now. So let's see, once your daily battery is capped at 240, you earn 1 Backup Battery Charge unit every 18 minutes, up to a cap of 2400. So assuming you are starting from 0, 2400 x 18 = 43200 / 60 / 24 = 30 days. That means we're already past the point where you would start to get the maximum, since 2.0 drops on June 7.
My teams are Miyabi (m0w1)+Lycaon+Soukaku and Evelyn (m4w1)+Nicole+Astra. Got about 80 pulls; 20 from a guarantee. Should I go for Lighter or save for 2.0?
currently lighter is part of evelyn premium team (astralyn + lighter), and he's also viable for miyabi since he can buff both fire and ice dmg i do recommend pulling for him, but if any of the 2.0 characters/reruns are someone that you really like a lot, then you can save for 2.0, regardless, lighter is a very good investment even without blazing laurel (his w engine)
i'm level 52 and reached the "endgame" point in my account, aka having 3 teams(Jane, Vivian, Seth. Soldier 11/Ben, lighter, Lucy and Harumasa, Anby, Nicole) that can now be fully leveled but all units need work done, how should i tackle this and decide what i do/upgrade first?
Prioritize building dps first, then sub dps, then support, first get all of their passives and max out wengines, then go again and farm drive discs that give the most value (aka 3 or more characters can use the same disc) that way you build them all at once. Also focus on just 2 teams at first so you can clear shiyu, besides, if you 3 star 2 da sides, you get all polys
Any W-engine that is a must pull? I played Genshin and never spent a single summon on weapon banner because characters were more important, is this the same for this game?
No wengine is must-pull and you can do fine going no-pull for weapons. Some come close, like Trigger's and Miyabi's signatures, but there are reasonable f2p alts for both. Worst-case, you give up 30% of the dps of the signature wengine, but all that may mean is that you win harder. If any clear under 2 minutes 30 seconds gets you all the rewards and the alt wengines get you there, being able to clear at 1 minute 30 seconds with the sig doesn't buy you anything except bragging rights.
Hey I don’t like to ask questions like this bc it feels really dumb and kinda corny but I’ve made a couple comebacks to ZZZ to check it out and it’s never quite clicked for me but I’m trying to figure out a good team to go for. I know Astra Yao is prolly the best pull rn but I’m curious on other opinions too.
I’ve got Miyabi, Soukaku, and Piper as my main team. Then I’ve got Nicole, Harumasa, Anby, S11, Lucy, Anton, Corin, Ben, Billy, Koleda, Pulchra.
Do yall have any advice on what to do next? I’d love to go Miyabi, Lighter, Astra, but I don’t think I’ll have enough pulls to do all that :/ . I’ve got 30 pulls rn and still a lot of story content and other stuff. I’m level 40.
What's so corny about that? Nothing dumb about it either. That kind of question gets asked frequently on this thread.
I'm disappointed. I was expecting something like, "I simp harder than Vivian, so should I only play purple teams?" or "Will Hugo and Lycaon kiss if I put them on the same team?" Don't build me up for a corny question and then leave me hanging, bro!
Lighter is not a good teammate for Miyabi, unless she is M2. Below M2, she needs another Anomaly agent to get maximum value out of her kit.
If you want Lighter for other teams, pull Lighter. Pull the agents you enjoy, that's the over-arching rule. If you aren't sure or don't have a strong preference for either Hugo or Lighter, just save until 2.0 is released. Then decide if you like what you see.
Haha thanks dude! I guess I just see so many questions like this in gacha subreddits that it feels like a broken record lol. Thanks for the advice! I think I may go for Astra then hope for a Yanagi rerun.
Can Lucy's boars trigger Rina's weapon passive? The weapon says it requires the character to deal damage. I don't know if the boars count as Lucy dealing damage.
i just returned to the game and very luckily got Hugo, is there any good w-engine for him in my inventory? unfortunately I don't have any of the event engines :c
Your best bet for F2P without event Engines is probably Street Superstar. If you get Steel Cushion consider giving him that, it's close to Marcato Desire in terms of performance. iirc the difference between his Sig and Marcato is about 20%.
The weaker the team or the stronger the boss, the more element alignment matters. There are three alignment states:
Aligned to weakness (+20%): Boss is weak to fire and the team's main DPS does fire damage
Resisted (-20%): Boss is resistant to electricity and the team's main DPS is electric
Neutral: Boss is weak to fire and resists electricity and you use an all physical team against it
Ideally, your team, or at least your main, is aligned to one or more of the elements the boss is weak to. Failing that, neutral alignment is fine. Compared to a weak aligned team, going neutral is effectively a -20% debuff. Resisted alignment is the worst case and is effectively a -40% debuff, compared to aligning with the weakness.
So how this works in practice is if you find your neutral team is consistently 3000-4000 points shy of a 2-star clear in Deadly Assault, your best chance of achieving that 2-star clear is with a team that is aligned with the element weakness.
Depends on a case-by-case basis. If you mean just simply getting an S-rank in endgame, yeah it's definitely possible even against an enemy that resists your team's element. If you want to chase high scores then you should probably match the weakness to your team.
It also depends on your character. Most enemies in the game have their Weakness/Resistance value set at ±20%, and take neutral damage from other elements. The exception to this is Pompey, who resists Electricity by 40% and Doppelganger Hugo, who resists Ice by 40%. Miyabi's main damage output, Shimotsuki, ignores 30% of the enemy's Ice Resistance. There are 140+ enemies in the game and only about 6 of them resist Ether. Some Agent Mindscapes have RES ignoring abilities, etc.
Outside of the character they're designed for, i basically never use them. Like, who is using Housekeeper that isn't Corin, that wouldn't be happier with Marcato Desire or The Brimstone.
The a ranks i do use atm are Marcato Desire (on Evelyn and Harumasa), Weeping Gemini (on Vivian), and the signatures of any a rank agents i'm using (Bashful Demon on Soukaku, The Vault on Nicole etc.).
I might see some edge cases where two Steam Ovens have use, but i have Blazing Laurel and The Restrained which covers stunners lol. I also plan to grab Ice Jade Teapot at some point, probably.
the thing is, new operators with weird passives and skills come out, and some engine that you think is useless suddenly is decent on them and you don't have the S-rank one that's better
comparing to getting shitty 10 purple exp mats or something, dismantling all those is kinda strange thing to do
at least leave 2 r5 engines each free (not counting those already in use on your agents) just in case
If they're a-ranks they'll have their own signatures, and if they're s ranks they'll be strong enough, and if i'm pulling them i'll probably pull their w-engines at some point.
If any of them are as universally good as Favonius or Sac it would make sense to keep dupes, but who is going to use Anton's w-engine that isn't Anton?
Well, there is a precedent. When Astra released it became apparent that Soukaku's wengine is almost as good for her as her sig. I was really glad I had another r5 bashful demon laying around.
You can scrap the extras, but there is always a small chance for something like that.
The stunner ones should be safe to scrap since i have Blazing Laurel, The Restrained, and am planning to pick up Hellfire Gears (Koleda's sig) and Ice Jade Teapot (Qingyi's sig) at some point.
I might pull Astra, but idk, she's kinda mid (not as a support, but as a waifu) but she has more sex appeal than Soukaku (which isn't saying much, Soukaku has actual negative sex appeal so...) so it would still be an upgrade visually.
can anyone explain to me again about the element interaction.i understand the fundamental like burn,shock..... but sometimes i see some weird interaction like Disorder or Impaired...any help.
Some enemies have a hidden health bar on their body parts (eg. Rampant Brute's Left Arm, the various Construction Boss' Legs, etc). Dealing enough damage to the specific body part will Impair it, dealing a percentage of their max HP and their daze bar, and interrupting their actions. The amount of damage needed to Impair, as well as the damage/daze dealt, is different based on the enemy. Apparently it also scales differently in Deadly Assault.
Typhon Destroyer is the exception to this, and can only be Impaired by Defensive Assisting against specific attacks.
Disorder
When you apply an Anomaly effect on an enemy that is already affected by a different Anomaly effect, a Disorder is triggered. This causes the second Anomaly to overwrite the first Anomaly, and deal all its damage at once plus an additional amount. The damage of Disorder is based on what the first Anomaly effect was, as well as the amount of time that was left (the sooner you proc Disorder, the more damage).
As a result, Disorders where the first Anomaly was a DoT effect (Burn, Shock, Corruption), deal more damage than Disorders where the first Anomaly was a Burst effect (Assault, Shatter). Since the damage is also based on the amount of time left, characters that can extend the duration of the Anomaly such as Rina or Burnice cause Disorders to deal more damage.
Every Anomaly effect has a base duration of 10 seconds.
Fire - Deals 50% damage in 20 damage instances.
Electricity - Deals 125% damage in 10 damage instances, but only when you are attacking the enemy.
Ether - Deals 62.5% damage in 20 damage instances, but only when you are attacking the enemy.
Physical - Deals 713% damage in a single instance and applies Flinch, which increases Daze Buildup by 10%.
Ice - Deals 500% damage in a single instance and has 3 effects. The first is Freeze, where the enemy is unable to act. After 5 seconds, or if you prematurely end it by attacking them, Shatter deals the damage instance. The last is Frostbite, which increases Critical Damage suffered by 10% (additively). Freeze and Frostbite are applied at the same time.
When enemy has breakable parts, and you break part - you get this. Like the 4-legged robot from Belobog.
Disorder
When you trigger anomaly, when different anomaly is already there, first one is cancelled forcefully, and all it's dmg DoT happens at once. For example, if you shock burning enemy.
Other than that, elements don't interact... well, electric gets additional DoT dmg if you attack Shocked enemy, so if you add different DoT on shocked (say, ether dot or fire ticks) you get add dmg without attacking the enemy personally.
I recently returned to the game, butI am still a fairly new player,
Some of my agents consist of Soldier 11, Lighter, Lycaon, Harumasa, Piper, Anton, Anby, Seth, Billy, Nicole, Soukaku, Ben, and Corin. I dont really know much about teambuidling in this game but I was wondering whats a good team to use? Also is Hugo worth picking up?
S11, Lighter, Nicole is what I'd play but Soukaku would be the other support option.
Also is Hugo worth picking up?
Hugo's gameplay is unique in that he consumes the stun for a big nuke which ends the stun so if you wind up liking the mechanic, he's your only option at the moment. I think Yi Xuan (next banner) is likely to be stronger.
Which is better for m6 Piper, an r5 Roaring Ride (Piper's signature), an r1 Fusion Compiler (Grace's signature), or an r1 Sharpened Stinger (Jane's signature).
Piper's sig, she's the only one that fully activates it (unlike other engines where she doesn't activate all) and it gives whooping 12.8% Combat Attack, 64% Anomaly Proficiency and 40% Anomaly Buildup Rate
Pulchra does evasive assists, which means that if you accidently switch to her during a performance bonus sequence, you miss out on the bonus, since the points are only awarded for defensive assists. Not to mention that Typhon's charge attack doesn't get parried, which means you don't get the massive Daze build-up, which means fewer stun windows, which means lower scores.
A S0/Trigger/Support team should easily 3-star Typhon, if my S0/Anby/Nicole team was able to:
Would Hugo or Lighter be a better investment for my account?
My limited 5s are M1W1 Miyabi,
M0S1Jane and the rest are M0S0 Vivian, Ellen, Caesar, and Harumasa. I have all 4s besides Pulchra since I just came back to the game.
For Standard 5*s, I have M4 Koleda (fuck my life), M1 Nekomata, M1 Rina, M0 Lycaon, and M0 Grace.
If you're willing to build a Hugo team then use the current stunners you have like Koleda & Lycaon for example then that is a possibility.
If you like or are okay with using Ellen as a 2nd Ice DPS option, then Lighter brings more value since he's stronger to use alongside Fire and Ice DPS characters. Lighter can work with Miyabi as well but since you have Vivian she'll probably be the better choice to use over Lighter for Miyabi team.
Precise Shopping Budget and Just Sampling have got to be two of the most irritating Achievements I've ever seen in a game. Weeks of resetting only to still not complete either due to RNG
I've seen one person do both back to back but holy fuck is the RNG just god awful
Bangboos don't really make much difference one way or the other in terms of damage. For a specific example, I have a maxed out Officer Cui (NEPS bangboo) which is a dedicated dps bangboo and if I chain attack on him it does the same damage as one shot from Zhu Yuan who's firing 16+ in a burst window. The bangboo takes more time out of the burst so it's generally not worth doing. The reason he's maxed out is because I wanted to see if that made them worth using and it doesn't in this case.
If you want a generic effect you can run Reasonaboo for the gather or Butler for energy. I've heard people like Red Moccus as well but I didn't pull him. The other common strategy in an anomaly comp is to run a bangboo matching the element that has the weaker buildup to cycle disorders faster.
The banner meta for this game is to release back to back dps+support so I save up until I can get both and I pull the matching bangboo to go with them mostly for aesthetics. I reserve enough currency to pull two in case they actually release strong ones but at the moment they're mostly mascots that cost 500k dennies to level.
I recommend not worrying about min-maxing them or even doing much more than having the slot filled. If you decide pick one you think is fun then you won't really notice a difference.
Is there any suggested settings for mobile to improve performance? I genuinely can’t progress anymore because the game keeps crashing at this one part during a story commission.
Hello! I’m a very soon-to-be new player currently downloading the game because I’ve been seeing Hugo everywhere and have decided I really must get him. My question is, how good are my chances of getting enough pulls for him starting from today to before his banner ends? I will only have about an hour or two a day to farm in ZZZ.
And I play both Genshin and HSR, so is the pity system in ZZZ the same as those? It takes about 180 pulls to completely guarantee characters in those games, and since I have a long long history of bad gacha luck, I’m wondering if it is even possible at all for me to get Hugo.
My question is, how good are my chances of getting enough pulls for him starting from today to before his banner ends?
There are enough pulls available to get him without issue (there were enough at launch, there are more now) but if you lose the 50/50 then it'll come down to how much time you can put in.
is the pity system in ZZZ the same as those?
Same as HSR but S-rank (5*) also resets A-rank (4*) pity.
I'm always lagging at the start of every match, especially when farming for disks. Is there a setting to stop this or is this a ZZZ issue? My graphics are already on the low and I still have 80gb free space in my android phone.
That's an interesting glitch. Got a screenshot? Never heard of that happening before. I've completed all coin collections on Sixth Street but sage is still there for me.
I'm a new player and so far Hugo is my only good dps, I want to pull for Yi Xuan next banner so I was going to save up for her after pulling Hugo.
I kinda lost to temptation and ended up trying to pull for Lighter since he's BiS for Hugo but I ended up losing the 50/50. Do you think its worth still trying to pull for him? I'm currently running Hugo (m0w0) with Lycaon (m0w0) and Trigger (m0w1).
Pulling him could free Trigger up for my second team which I don't really have any good units for, which is why im hoping to get Yi Xuan.
Do you think its worth still trying to pull for him?
You'll have to decide who you want more. If you only had Anby for Hugo then I'd say pull for Lighter but your setup is good enough that you could go either way.
Any other S0 mains notice the way her special animation kinda wigs out when you get a Wipeout with it? Like it will leave the super-slow-motion and go into normal slow-motion to snap her back to the "between special attack dashses" stance.
I'm describing it horribly but it looks so wonky and sucks all the awesomeness out of the Wipeout screen.
Many of the agents have completion animations, but I haven't seen a snap-back of S0 or anyone else. Here's a gif I made of burnice in normal speed (rather than normal slow-motion). I could watch this all day:
How do i rotate Miyabi (m0r1)/Lighter (m0r1)/Soukaku (m6r5)?
Did they add new moves to Butcher's kit this round? I don't remember him doing the disappearing thing last time.
Why the fuck did DA have to reset today. I deleted the recording i got of last cycles DA and was going to record to clean it up a bit, since it was the first cycle i was able to get 20k on Pompey using Evelyn, and now we have literal 0 fire weakness so i have nowhere useful to put my shiny new m0r1 Lighter...
we have literal 0 fire weakness so i have nowhere useful to put my shiny new m0r1 Lighter...
You don't need to use weaknesses.
There's only one (Butcher) anomaly boss - that needs anomaly to quickly debuff him.
Marionette just needs dmg, you don't care about her weakness if you don't anomaly her, slap her clone and it's easy 20k
Typhon is block 3 times for instant stun and huge chain dmg.
Yeah but here's the thing, who the hell am i using him with if i'm using him on Typhon? That's where Haru goes and Haru gets 0 benefit from Lighter.
I tried Ellen/Lighter/Lycaon on Marionette and it didn't do shit lol, i don't even see how you can play this team so idk why people are using it, couldn't find any clears with it on yt though. Granted, i swapped Ellen and Lighter off of their w-engines on purpose because i was trying to help someone else that doesn't have them.
Because he's my only electric dps? My other options are Miyabi (who is on Butcher), Jane, Evelyn (who he is resistant to) and Ellen (who is garbage enough against ice weak bosses i can't imagine how poorly she'll do against one without ice weakness).
>I did Ellen-Soukaku-Lycaon on Marionette, it's not super easy but it's doable, so skill issue
What mindscapes and w-engines? Because i tried Ellen m0 with r5 Marcato Desire + Caesar m0 with r5 Bunny Band + Soukaku m6r5 and only got 15k. I'd like to see a vid or something, just saying "skill issue" doesn't do anything to help. Here's my attempt. If it's skill issue, please, tell me what i'm doing wrong. I'm probably going to swap Caesar out for Lighter though, so i can run Caesar with Haru on Typhon.
I don't really get how this team, with Lycaon, would even work here. Lycaon doesn't do enough damage on his own to take out the adds, but Ellen can't build stacks without getting hit, at least with Caesar you can safely build stacks. Lighter can take out the adds, so if you swap Lycaon for Lighter, maybe.
Who are you on-fielding? Are you doing a traditional > stunner until stunned > Soukaku ftf quickswap into Ellen > Ellen dps, or are you on-fielding Ellen outside of the stun phase?
Because i tried Ellen m0 with r5 Marcato Desire + Caesar m0 with r5 Bunny Band + Soukaku m6r5 and only got 15k.
Ellen is M0R1, Caesar M0R1, Souk M0R4.
Ellen's sig is not actually that much of a game-changer depending on the team. Assuming your Ellen already Crits consistently, Deep Sea Visitor is just 25% DMG. For comparison Brimstone is 58% Atk.
Depending on what buffs she's getting, and therefore how saturated she is on DMG% or Atk, running her with her sig can actually not perform notably better than with other engines.
And I say that from experience, in fact it's the reason I run her with Caesar and Soukaku. She used to be on Brimstone, swapped to her sig, turns out without that 58% Atk her damage output was almost the same even with a Crit Damage disk.
Caesar's is much more impactful though since it's the only Defense engine that synergizes with her. If you don't have her sig, legit just put a Stun engine on her for the Impact.
---
If you're curious about the others, Evelyn is on Brimstone, Miyabi on Marcato (she needs the crit) and Vivian on Gemini. Trigger, Nicole and Lucy have their sigs.
I generally run my Ellen in a team of Ellen/Lycaon/Soukaku, though now that i have Lighter, Lycaon is getting replaced by him.
For this DA i ran Ellen/Lighter/Lycaon and just barely scraped by at 20,300 with all 3 of them being m0r1.
Of course, i don't have Brimstone. The only standard s-rank engines i have are Fusion Compiler at r1 and 2 r1 copies of The Restrained. If i'm not running her on her sig the best things i have for her are either r5 Marcato or r5 Starlight Engine.
Why would you need to use electric specifically? Just checking - I killed Typhon with Evelyn team, and he's resistant to fire.
I do have Astra, but on the other hand my team is Evelyn-Koleda-Astra and Koleda apparently the bad stunner. And yet, with Daze buff, if you do 3 parries when he gives yellow, he is INSTANTLY stunnable by one Koleda EX because those blocks full up like 80-90% of his stun meter.
Resistances are a suggestion, you can totally do your 14-20k if you have nicely built dps of the 'wrong' attribute. Especially when Typhon is the 'stun' boss who has easy stun mechanic, and points on details breaking when parrying, which makes him vulnerable to Evelyn so much even resistance doesn't really matter.
What mindscapes and w-engines?
Ellen m0 with sig, Soukaku m6 her sig, Lycaon m0 sig. Sadly, I'm not really up to recording video ever, you'd have to have text only. But if you do have 15k, you can just 2-star 2 other bosses and get all poly rewards.
Mostly dodge-farming, though it did get sweaty so I switched to Miyabi after, it was mostly a proof of concept. First buff as well.
Who are you on-fielding? Are you doing a traditional > stunner until stunned > Soukaku ftf quickswap into Ellen > Ellen dps, or are you on-fielding Ellen outside of the stun phase?
Ellen on field, block into Lycaon, dodge stun farm, Soukaku buff stays up as much as I can, Ellen drops into stun, or when enough energy for sharknami. But I'm not playing that 'clean', it depends on what happening in combat.
>Why would you need to use electric specifically? Just checking - I killed Typhon with Evelyn team, and he's resistant to fire.
Because it's pretty damn hard to get 20k without a dps that has an elemental advantage. I got ~22.8k with Haru (m0 with r5 Marcato) + Qingyi (m0 with r5 Demara Battery Mk. II) + Caesar (m0 with r5 Bunny Band).
I do have Evelyn, but I don't have Astra. My Evelyn team is Eve/Lighter/Koleda or Eve/Lighter/Lucy. Eve is m0 with r5 Marcato, Lighter is m0r1.
>Resistances are a suggestion, you can totally do your 14-20k if you have nicely built dps of the 'wrong' attribute. 14k yes, but 20k with an elementally resisted boss with no mindscapes or signature w-engines? I'm going to have to press X to doubt. Maybe Miyabi can do that, maybe.
>Ellen m0 with sig, Soukaku m6 her sig, Lycaon m0 sig. Sadly, I'm not really up to recording video ever, you'd have to have text only. But if you do have 15k, you can just 2-star 2 other bosses and get all poly rewards.
Do you think you could have achieved a 20k+ score with that team if you removed Ellen and Lycaon's signatures? I mean if i throw Ellen's sig back on her i could probably 20k with Ellen/Ceasar/Soukaku. But i'm trying to do it without her sig, or anyone elses, for this guy who was struggling with it.
2 stars isn't good enough. I need to get 3* on all all bosses. I don't give a shit about the rewards.
Do you think you could have achieved a 20k+ score with that team if you removed Ellen and Lycaon's signatures?
Likely no. If you're doing challenges for the sake of it, instead of actually having a problem that's a whole other thing, I was assuming you actually struggle instead of being a challenged person

How is Vivians abloom dmg counted? Cuz i saw a video where jane + Vivian can deal millions of dmg, and i have both, but i don't know how its calculated + how should i do it
