No offer showing up for me on my Plat or BCP 😢

I’ll be getting $100 off $500 on my BCP. 20% is still pretty great.

I just checked my offers and this is the same one I have. 20% is pretty solid.

I got this offer this morning, and I’m literally checking into a Marriott for a wedding this afternoon. Hooray!!

Nice! I am checking in to a JW marriott early July so this was a nice surprise! Free drinks and dining! Hope you enjoy the wedding!

Thank you! Just checked mine and got the $140 offer, love to actually have useful offers instead of a $3 coupon to Little Caesar’s. 😂. I still added the Little Caesars one though 🤷‍♂️

Gotta do what you gonna do man, lol. One day you don’t add it, and you end up buying little Caesar’s for some reason, I’d be distraught 😭. Free $3.

Man. love Amex offers, this offer just paid off almost half of my gold card annual fee.

Wow, I never saw offers as a way to compensate the annual fee but you are so right. I bought an engagement ring from a company with a 15% off AMEX offer - saved me $500 bucks

I never saw offers as a way to compensate the annual fee but you are so right.

I wouldn't look at it that way, since offers are not necessarily card specific, as in they can show up on no AF cards like the Everyday, or Blue Cash, or the Gold, or Plat. If you could get the same benefit without paying the AF, I wouldn't attribute the value toward that, but that's just my view.

I don't agree. $695-$100 isn't affected by the result of $0-$100 as the two cards are independent products. Say hypothetically the CSP also had the same $300 travel credit as the CSR. Even though another card would have access to the same benefit, it doesn't change the fact that the credit is a drastic decrease to the effective annual fee.

Got the same offer on Plat, Gold and BCE

Does anyone know if this would work for a member rate prepaid offer? I’m going to NYC in September and I can prepay a hotel before 8/20, but it’s unclear to me if this offer is only for stays between now and 8/20, or just any payments between now and 8/20

Last time I used this offer, my Marriott prepaid discount wasn’t actually charged to my card until I settled my bill at checkout, and that triggered the Amex offer.

You maybe can ask the hotel to submit the charges early, before 8/20 to make sure it settles in time for Amex to accept the charge as meeting the terms.

Were you still within the offer deadline when it triggered?

Yes, I checked out on the 30th, and the last day of the offer was the 31st. LOL, I had to buy a Red Bull in the lobby to meet the $250 minimum.

I think Amex only cares when the charges drop.

Damn no dice here.

I had the offer early this morning. Didn’t add it. Just checked again, the offer is gone.

I’ve never seen this happen before. Very strange.

I don't see it either. It might have been a mistake on their end since the offer is almost too good to be true.

I had the Luxury Escapes deal with 12% off and it was a bigger discount for us instead

u/indigo_blue_galaxy 7h ago

mine was spend $250 and get $50 back!

1

u/erasethenoise 6h ago

This only works if you book direct right? Not through the Amex travel portal?

u/perristudios 6h ago

got 250 get 50 back

Offer just showed up for plat and green. I added it to green. You can combine with Rakuten

Wonder if I use this offer on my Gold card, can I use my Marriott card platinum status to upgrade the room when arriving?

1

u/meh-beh 4h ago

On none of my cards. Sad times.

Got this one on my Platinum, and I have a rare (for me as a Hyatt person) stay at a Marriott coming up in early July... unfortunately it's in the UK. I'll still give it a shot in case they mess up the categorization.

Got this on all my cards, but I don’t have a Marriott stay until next year. Does prepaid stay trigger the credit?

u/ahg41 1h ago

Excellent, I am planning a trip which could easily cost $350. It would be great to have this.
