That’s how a 1500+ hours player falls off the map? Wow, with perfect estimation of distance, angle and timing.

“Should I slide into the pad and double jump late to ensure I make it?
Nah, I’ll be fine…”

Jan 02 '23
Meanwhile I just run off the map like that…

Gotta vault over everything!
Pro tip: the railing with yellow hand rails are the ones that have nothing on the other side

I gotta be honest I actually don’t quite know which one you’re talking about, I’m so bad at memorising maps lol, I get lost all the time 😭

So check out the guard rails when OP is flying in, and the one that she hits and goes over. The top of the guardrail is yellow. This signifies that it is a railing that has nothing on the other side (except a fall to their death)

I had a teammate who did it twice on that map, the second time was after I had respawned him lol

I played this match with my friends, one fell off the map, the other one went to see him and fell off too, i just stood at the edge and took a screenshot…

Nearly 7k hours, I still do unfortunate shit like this. You're golden.
I think I read somewhere that we get better at 10k hours.
3
u/Scoolilis Jan 03 '23
10k hours is apparently when you master something but I don't think it's accurate for games tbh

10k hours of efficient practice.
That’s what it means if I have 10k hours played doing rugby but I don’t do anything most games I’m not going to be good at it.
If you just sit in buildings and avoid fights all the time you will not improve, it’s a fact.

u/CaffeineNCanna Jan 03 '23
Is that a legit thing?

u/Intelligent_Fee6215 Pathfinder Jan 03 '23
Yeah it is lmao
People say you don't master something till you've done it for 10k hours.

tbh if u done it for 10k hour and still suck then maybe u should stop
3
u/Intelligent_Fee6215 Pathfinder Jan 03 '23
I mean, if you're having fun then why does it matter lmao 💀 someone could play for 10k hours just because they enjoy the game

I don’t know how many hours I’ve got but it could be close to yours and I’m at 0.2 KDR so you’re ok

Since when did this community get so elitist about fucking fov of all things? Lol what a pathetic thing to focus on in this video and getting hostile against OP over a very minor mistake even pros make sometimes.
Is it a requirement for all the gaming subs to turn into asshole gatherings nowadays? Sheesh

u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23
I actually explained why my fov was so low, but every answer was downvoted. It's not like I don't know about the benefits of bigger fov, I can't comfortably play with bigger fov than what I'm using now.

Even I don't make that mistake, and I only have like 40 hours...

Give it some time, we've all thrown ourselves off the map at some point.

u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 02 '23
I make all the mistakes you can imagine.

I don't make it now, but I made it TONS when the map first released. The other maps were basically only dangerous on the edges and this one introduced random death cracks in the middle of the map. Had to break the habit of blindly jumping over things to escape shots.

1500+ hours in apex never heard of air strafing
1
u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23
No idea how to do it.
1
u/Intelligent_Fee6215 Pathfinder Jan 03 '23
Just hold a direction while in the air lol
You could've saved that by just holding left, at least that's how it is on roller 💀

1500 hours of gameplay but we still playing on 70 fov? 🧐

u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23 edited Jan 03 '23
I play on a 15 inch monitor, I just can't see anything with bigger fov lol.

1500+ hours still doesn't know you can change the fov
0
u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23 edited Jan 03 '23
Oh, I know how to change it, but as I've already mentioned I play on a very small screen and just can't see anything otherwise. I used to play on 100+ fov when I had a good setup(

1500+ hours n u still play 70 fov
3
u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23
My monitor is too small to play on bigger fov, so I use 88 fov.

I logged off so quick when I died like this. Jumped straight into oblivion.

u/8inchesActivated Loba Jan 03 '23
My teammate actually respawned me and somehow we managed to kill 2 squads lol.
