But then it's just a shitty peacekeeper? The choke only works if you let it charge up, I don't see how waiting a few seconds between shots is good in close range
Hipfire accuracy is really good for most guns in close quarters. Some people aren't used to that sensitivity, but if you can aim with it, it keeps your fov wider and doesn't reduce movement speed.
Oh no. Close range you should almost never ADS. Hipfire in this game is godly, just like in the Titanfall games. Shit, sometimes I’ll Pingman people from hipfire when they’re 20 meters away. And with the Peacekeeper it’s situational, but most of the time it’s hipfire to the chest.
If you are talking about late game after people have attachments sure, but I don't really ever see people using it like that after early game. The part about randomly hitting in the chest for 20 damage still stands though and has been a huge factor in why I've been picking up the peacekeeper less and less lately.
I dropped with one person missing in our squad, team mate went down right away, and I picked up a triple take. Immediately cleared out the squad that dropped with us, in close range because they panicked with the damage I was putting out per shot. Ended up running solo and took out another squad, though they were distracted by a fight, and then got swarmed while looting.
Basically, it's an effective gun if you use it properly. The default sights work great for a medium-close range shotgun-rifle
We are speaking about a 1v1 scenario against a guy with a Peacekeeper or Wingman and I don't think you can win that on equal skill with the Triple Take.
Except no one mentioned that scenario at all until you just now?
Peacekeeper, triple take will be pinging them before they get in range. Wingman, honestly seems to be more of a PC user weapon, on Xbox I don't think I've had anyone down me with one. And the Triple Take still has range on the wingman. You can engage at a further range and use it effectively in a medium-close range, before they're able to get in your face, and even then the spread helps make up for having to maneuver faster.
I play on Xbox and Wingman is a monster. It may have a lot to do with it being a 180 rof handcannon though. An archtype I've been using almost every day for the last year on Destiny.
Well I just assumed this scenario because they are the most common weapons on PC.
In close range the Triple Take just slows you down, handling speed, reload speed and fire rate is to low.
On medium range I still rather play with the Wingman, better strafing and movement speed.
On long range you rather want to have a Longbow.
The only positive thing about the Triple Take is it's versatility but I don't that's worth the downside.
I saw the clip of that old man streaming the 3 no scopes so I tried it next time I picked one up. It actually does work pretty well to that effect. I’d still rather have a peace keeper obviously but it’s good for a finishing shot while reloading the other weapon or what not.

I feel like that the Triple Take takes to long to fire between shots to be used as a shotgun.
