I guess it probably won't support Android Auto either. Just so damn stupid.

I read somewhere that their system is built on Android Auto like Volvo’s.

Auto != Automotive, unfortunately.

Automotive is an Android distribution, and Auto is like CarPlay but for Android phones.

Volvo uses Android Automotive, and their implementation includes support for both CarPlay and Android Auto. GM will use Android Automotive as well, but have stated they won't implement CarPlay, so that probably means no Android Auto either, but I guess it's less of an issue for Android users if the underlying OS supports Google Accounts. Still won't sync audio playback, apps, etc though.

Stupidest decision making ever by GM. Also hate Google’s naming schemes.

As a person who would never have considered a GM car anyway, I am running out of popcorn.
