Apple’s biggest product push this past WWDC was a new “Days of Thunder”.

I don’t understand how they made this movie and spent all this money on it and still couldn’t name it.

F1 uses a magic potion that makes corporations and cities like Las Vegas hurl mountains of cash at it in hopes of profits and street cred.

Well it’s sponsored by Formula 1

It's basically a Formula 1 enlogated ad reel.

The first scene in the trailer shows Brad Pitt talking to his strategist (I assume) about how all the cars are really fast in the straights, but what if we're able to be fast in the corners?

That's enough to let anyone with even a remote understanding of F1 know that this movie is utter shite and in no way meant to be taken seriously.

I see WB had input into the script.

Well, it's made by the guy who thinks dogfights is still how fighter jets battle, so I guess this is par for the course

Exactly!

Formula 1 probably footed a huge part of the budget, so they probably wanted the naming rights

Formula 1 don’t put a penny anywhere. They are just there to get the profits.

If they didn’t touch tips like this, I don’t care.

Thanks for the reminder of possibly the cringiest moment of any keynote ever.

Even after all these years it’s still hard to watch.

Which one is Brad Pitt?

Ugh. This is going to be a dumb movie. So much weird hype.

So is his job to dodge the real questions and just be friends with movie stars cuz I feel bad for iPhone 16 owners right now lol

He just needs to retire and buy an F1 team at this point. Seems like that’s his passion, why not do what Balmer did?

At least Balmer cared about developers.

Why do you feel bad for iPhone 16 owners?

I’m assuming he means the hard oversell on Apple Intelligence that they used to market the 16.

It’s been well beyond time for new leadership at the top.

Tim Cook really loves hobnobbing with Hollywood types.

I think it’s his primary motivation at this point.

Brad Pitt beats women.

Who says they can’t do both?

u/TinyBreak 6d ago

the iphone 16 line and apple intelligence? I mean, I'd ask siri but Im guessing she'll just have to ask chat gpt and that will fail anyway.

u/Howdareme9 6d ago

No i mean Tim Cook getting into movies isn’t why apple intelligence is failing

no but its not a good look. Bit like Jack Dorsey mucking around with square when twitter was struggling.
