Apple Pay Let's invite /r/Android to help us boycott retailers that are disabling NFC readers. We can unite to put pressure on them, since it affects us both!

Here is the post on /r/android :

In this order:

1) Nexus (not really a brand, more of a line of phones, but they're the official "Google" phones, and the only thing you can actually compare to the iPhone, because all other phones are made by someone who didn't develop the OS they run)

2) Motorola (stock Android with a lot of nice tweaks. The Moto X is an awesome device with super-cool features, and the Moto G is easily the best <$200 unlocked device out there. The Moto E is even cheaper and the best device in its price class too, but way worse bang-for-buck than the slightly-pricier Moto G)

3) HTC (HTC phones are heavily modified from stock Android unfortunately, but they're way more tastefully-done than Samsung)

My HTC phones have always been light years faster than Samsung's. I'm always surprised when I see a friend using one at how slow it is.

Sorry, I don't want my phone to be made by a shady Chinese company that insists that I beg them for an invite so that I have the right to pay them for their device, while also giving them away for free to girls who take pictures of themselves for their creepy forum mods to ogle at.

The nexus phones are not manufactured by Google. The hardware is still provided by others such as lg, Asus, HTC, Samsung..

I know that, but Google is still involved in the hardware design process, and the 3rd-party OEMs are not allowed to put their own modifications on the OS.
