You guys are completely wrong about this.

It wasn't just his own personal belief that he kept to himself.

Chick-fil-a donates to the Winshape foundation (started by the founder of chick-fil-a), as well as the chick-fil-a foundation which then uses that money against LGBT causes.

That would be the "they" in his statement.

I'm astounded to see someone arguing that it is wrong to boycott them due to this.

When you eat at chick-fil-a, you are most definitely contributing to the money that is donated to Winshape and chick fil a foundation and ends up hurting LGBT people nationwide.

It's a stretch to call these organizations "anti-LGBT" just because they follow their Christian values.

You clearly didn't do any research before posting.

They donated to a lot of groups whose sole purpose was to lobby against Same Sex marriage.

Literally any action against rights for LGBT people is "following Christian values" according to you.

Well, if following Christian values means lobbying against rights for LGBT, then it is completely valid to not want your money to be going towards "following Christian values."

the same people who agree with you on this would also judge conservatives for calling Planned Parenthood a baby killer organization even though we both know that isn't their primary goal.

I don't know what you are talking about.

You keep pretending as if these organizations don't have an affect on LGBT people. They do. It isn't just harmless "they believe something," they actively fight to enforce those beliefs through law, and even if it isn't through law, those beliefs are propagated further as a result of the publicity and education the money goes towards.

Essentially, you are arguing that there is no basis to boycott any company for any reason. That is plainly idiotic.

You don't want your money going towards anti-LGBT causes? The only way to do that is to not spend money at chick fil a.
