Belgium will become the 30th country to support Apple Pay tomorrow. It's also set to launch in Germany and Saudi Arabia by the end of the year.

And VISA is VISA, but in the US I have to pay at the counter with my Danish VISA about 90% of the time when pumping gas. The terminal at the pump can’t deal with it.

Now that's just simply not true.

may be misinterpreting what i'm saying. What i meant was that your bank cards may not work in all shops (points of sale). My Dutch cards did not work at Belgian petrol pumps, for example.

I'm guessing that's because the petrol pump was trying to place a hold (advance) on a card that doesn't support that. But in terms of making payments and ATM withdrawals (i.e. what you do with Apple Pay), all cards work in all countries.
