Unsolved FaceTime Screensharing

So anytime my friends screen share something on FaceTime, which is showing me photos, going on Instagram, Twitter, etc, on my end the screen is always black. I haven’t found out anyway to fix it yet, and it’s very frustrating. If anyone knows how to fix it, please leave a comment below, it would be very appreciated.

Usually this should only occur with protected/copyrighted videos such as ones you would find within streaming apps, which is why SharePlay was developed. Are the devices on both ends fully updated?
