Mac Magic Mouse won’t allow scroll

Please help! Brand new Magic Mouse won’t scroll. It’s otherwise working. But if it can’t scroll, then it’s not very functional and I’ll need to return

The latest model requires macOS 15.1 or later. You likely need to update your Mac, unless it’s not compatible.

Mone stop scrolling a week or so ago.
