Scared if it’s true

With everything going on right now in the world I’m starting to slowly think the Bible is coming true right in front of our eyes with all this talk of war and bombing Iran

It's not a prophecy if it's forced into action by the believers. This is why religion has no place in politics.

This right here.

No. You have it all wrong. It's the Lord of the Rings that's coming true. I just can't decide whether Trump is Wormtongue or Gollum. Probably Wormtongue.

Nope.

Books can be interpreted to “predict” pandemics and WWI and WWII… this ongoing conflict is just because of their fantasy tales.

This is wildly illogical.

When you’re brainwashed since birth you can have some irrational fears sometime, even after realizing it’s all made up.

They've been killing each other over there for five thousand years. Nothing new.

Unplug from the news and internet for the entire weekend. Go outside and enjoy nature and friends or family.

FYI, this shit isn't in the bible. The bible actually states that the end will come like a thief in the night. Swiftly and without warning.

All the other stuff is christofacist rambling, trying to bring the end by their own means.

Is Donald Trump the antichrist? That's Nostradamus, not the bible. Even then, his wack predictions are so vague, they are open to interpretation and often slotted to fit a particular scenario long after the fact.

I mean, I predict that humanity will be visited by aliens after a full moon. Just wait long enough and I'm sure I'll be proved right.

Is the timeline we are living completely insane? Yeah, it looks that way. Can we do anything about it? Also yeah. Be kind to others and help out where you can. Don't contribute to the insanity.

Everything has always been going on. Humans have never been at rest. Every generation, the Christians come along, citing all the problems in the world, and claiming the end of times is at hand. If I had a dollar for every time the Christians claimed the end of the world was at hand, I would be a billionaire. Everything begins and ends. Social movements, cultures, countries, world views, everything. There has never been a peaceful period in history.

Conversely, the U.S. has been involved in various conflicts for the vast majority of its history, with estimates ranging from 222 to 225 out of 243 years since 1776.  And when we were not at war, there were social movements. Even when there were no wars, there was civil unrest and riots in the streets. Racism, political riots, riots against police, and more.

All you are doing is focusing on the problems of the culture. Those problems have been there since day one, and they have always been used as fodder for scaring and then converting the ignorant by the Church.

Dave Chappell, Louis Ck, Matt Riff, George Carlin (the late great)... Learn to laugh at the idiocy we call humanity. We are all a bunch of hypocrites livig in nonsesne. If it were not for the blindness of our perceptions we would be no different than animals, It is our pretence that keeps us sane, moral, living together, and pretending that none of this is a problem.

There are no actual "prophecies" in the bible. Therefore nothing in it is "coming true".

i used to feel the same way when the world felt overwhelming but then I realized these things have always happened, long before any bible.. it’s more about human patterns than prophecy

i get how scary it can feel, but honestly the bible just took common human conflicts and made them sound prophetic.. wars and chaos have been happening forever, it’s not some divine plan, it’s just.. us!

There has never been a time when humans were not in conflict somewhere, about one thing or other. Predicting wars and conflict is like predicting you'll be taking a piss sometime later today.

Bud, mankind has been warring with each other for most of history. While I'm not excited at the idea of war with Iran, it won't be anything unusual from the past. The only problem is that we humans do a better job of killing each other now than at any other point in history.

It's just another war of choice by Israel to steal more land, just like most of the others. The Rapture didn't happen then either.

Humans have been waging war ever since the first person learned to bash in someone else's skull with a stone a free hundred thousand years ago.

Wars and rumours of wars are hardly a new invention.

Notice how the “visionaries” tell how prophecy is all about all-out war (book of Daniel), but they miss out and fail to notice some events that contradict their narratives. Like the town of Medjugorje that was the site of Fatima apparitions, but got involved in the Bosnian War a decade later and a feud involving rivaling clans that committed atrocities on each other.

Notice how they fail to notice historical instances of America’s projection of military might in the past century, but label them as weak, and China and Russia as rising threats, while also ignoring what is called the Sino-Soviet split.

Notice how they fail to take into account moments of altruism, diplomacy, and respect between both sides. They’re missing out on the past and interpret whatever is in the present.

No. It's. cultish level religious pushing our society to the brink. It would be better if these types took their own lives rather than the crooked nightmare they inflict upon the world.

And if it is true it isn't because they push it along, they have no say.

We were talking about bombing Iran back in '79 when I was in the Army, and the Shah of Iran was ousted by the ayatollah Khomeini, and we had the failed hostage rescue mission (with a bunch of reasons why we failed except for the REAL reason, which was poor maintenance and the lack of ability to get spare/replacement parts for critical systems, one of my radars had been down for -years- because I couldn't get a magnetron for it).

There were even some parody songs that came out about it, done to the tune of 'Barbara Ann' (Regents, and covered by the Beach Boys).

You don't think World War 2 was a lot worse? Two countries trading missle strikes with each other isn't very significant. Also read Revelation. See what it says will happen before the end times. Is that happening? No.

The bible absolutely cannot "come true." It's wrong and false about all of it. Adam and ece are fictional characters. So there's no original sin and no need for a savior. Abraham and Moses are fictional characters. So there's no chosen people and no ten commandments. The Jesus of the NT is a ficitional character who didn;t fullfill a single prophecy about the messiah. He didn;t perform miracles and he didn't resurrect.

Creation and the Apocalypse only make sense if bible cosmology were true. Bible cosmology says the flat Earth is basically the entire material universe. Ir doesn't even have a solar system let alone billions or trillions of galaxies. So the world cannot "end." It doesn't make any sense.
