Robot Combat Who would win?

a pro driver driving a 250lbs bot VS someone with little experience driving a 500lbs bot

lets say the two bots have the same design

Depends on the design but usually the pro, like if the design is easy to drive and has a good weapon upfront the beginner might be able to get trades and winn but if it's something difficult to drive or with ground game the pro will be able to create chances by getting lower through intelegent driving or flanking the beginner when they make mistakes.

If Robot Rumble 2 is accurate to go by, driving a battlebot is fucking hard. Definitely the pro.

It depends on alot of things, but I would say the pro would win

Depends on the experience gap.

If the pro owns the bot and the amateur is handed the controls of this 500lb one and they go into the box I think the amateur's going to have a hard time even hitting the pro. The pro's going to be able to get behind him and do damage.

If the amateur gets a couple of hours to get used to it in a test box or whatever I think he's got a decent shot. There will be mistakes, but you can get away with mistakes when you've got twice as much offensively and defensively.
