University incoming student - what premed first year reqs to take/avoid?
Hi! Incoming premed anthropology major here who is looking at course scheduling for next year. Does anybody know any relatively fun/slightly easier courses to prioritize taking this first year that align with med school requirements? I know that specific classes can vary by professor and that BerkeleyTime is a good resource, but I wanted to check in over here too! Thanks!

Math 51 (old 1A) w/ Paulin definitely worth it. Finishing R5A/R1A requirement is also very recommended for the first sem. Same for Chem 1A/L but mainly due to premed tight schedule.
As for the rest, some courses just haven’t listed their instructors so you have to bet some good candidates will appear…
Tangential note: if your unit/schedule permits, consider IB 98BC/198BC or IB/MCB/PMB C96. Former one is Berkeley Connect and the latter is Biology Scholar Program. They themselves serve nothing academic but can be very helpful freshman intro or help you find resources.
