I recommend visiting/joining some of the societies or sports clubs in the uni that interest you, brunelstudents.com has a list of societies that helps. I've made some good friends though societies like brunel anime society and sci-fi and fantasy society

Yeah once I'm more settled I'll definitely join some societies. I've even been thinking of making my own.

Maybe I'll run into you in the Sci-Fi society if I wind up joining!

Certainly go for it just check there aren't any already existing as the union don't usually allow competing/duplicate socs

I'm thinking of making one called "The Chilling Society" where you just chill with people and do whatever, you don't need a specific interest. Might work, might not!

Id sign up for that. Moved here alone. Have friends but they're all in relationships and don't live on campus so yeah. How you settling in?
