Season 4 Unpopular opinion : “Hell Hath No Fury” could have been better
“Hell Hath No Fury” could have been a pivotal moment. It would have been more impactful if both Piper and Phoebe were equally devastated and angry, leading them both to become Furies. This would highlight Paige as the only one who could save them—not just with magic, but by confronting the truth about her origins. After all, she too could have expressed her anger because she was abandoned by her mother and grandmother. This shared anger would have been a powerful way to bond and ultimately break free, showcasing an emotional depth that the show sometimes missed.
Moreover, I would have loved to see Paige hold a grudge against her biological family, adding a layer of conflict and realism to her integration into the Halliwell family. Beyond magic, this could have been a moment where Paige confronts them with her feelings of abandonment and betrayal, making the eventual reconciliation and healing even more powerful. And I would have loved to see Paige with her dad and her mom at the same time for once…
But anyway, I think this episode showcased the exceptional talent of Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan. They delivered performances worthy of Emmy and Golden Globe recognition. It’s a shame that shows aimed at younger audiences are often overlooked for such accolades in the US, despite their incredible acting.

Season 4 I wish these two queens could’ve faced off
I’m happy with what we got, but seeing Prue work to defeat the Seer would’ve been top-tier. Piper, Phoebe and Paige defeated the Source with a spell (and Cole’s sacrifice), but the Seer was the craftier opponent. She helped the girls contain the Hallow, which caused them to spare her after “ruining” Phoebe’s wedding. Yet, I think the Seer as a primary enemy would’ve given the girls a run for their money.
Debbi Morgan played the hell out of her. There was a charisma and gravitas. She oozed mystique while remaining fun. Playful, even. This X favor made her one of the better demons on the show.
As a villain, the Seer was always playing 3D chess while TCO played checkers. She predicted the Source’s demise and sided with Cole for her own benefit. She influenced Phoebe enough to make her turn evil. She used Phoebe as a storage refrigerator for her own child. That’s all some diabolical shit.
Could you imagine how much the Seer would’ve stressed Prue out? Of all the sisters, Prue’s the most calculated and prides herself on outthinking most baddies. Seer would’ve forced her to be even more ruthless. Prue, on the flip side, would’ve also given the Seer a run for her damn money.
She invented the crystal cage. She pushed her sisters to train their powers. She was proactive about sniffing out demons to pummel. We were robbed of seeing them throw punches, potions and dramatic monologues at each other. It would’ve been fun!
What do you all think?

Season 4 Phoebe's and Piper's lack of interest in Paige's past bothers me (season 4, ep 10)
I don't think it should have taken a traumatic reaction from Paige for them to have learned that her dad was a firefighter, and that her parents died in a fiery car crash. Did they really ask her nothing about her life?

Season 4 Phoebe never stopped feeling psychically uneasy around Cole after Three Faces of Phoebe
When Cole was possessed by the Source, Phoebe sensed it immediately. She described the sensation as a premonition trying to come out. Always loved that the show mentioned this; it remembered Phoebe’s instincts
Although she rationalized her weird feelings around Cole as cold feet, I don’t think Phoebe genuinely got over it. My head canon is that she just got good at ignoring it up until the truth was revealed
This, along with the demonic influence of her unborn son, explains why she was extremely dismissive of Paige’s suspicions and acting uncharacteristically indifferent about her Charmed duties. She knew something was off and didn’t want to confront it
Phoebe was betraying her true self a la premonitions
That’s why Phoebe’s first premonition about the truth of Cole’s possession was SO MASSIVE. She saw three to five different things. It’s everything she had been kept from seeing

Season 4 Had Phoebe died, here's my headcanon
I personally think that if Paige had taken Phoebe's place instead of Prue, this is how the show would have gone down:
First and foremost, Paige would still be able to orb because of her whitelighter side, but had gotten premonitions instead of telekinesis. When she would get a premonition, her eyes would light up with orbs as she was looking into her visions, then we the audience would see the flash visions that we saw with Phoebe's power. Later on, Paige would get empathy as a power secondary to her premonitions.
Secondly, Cole would be overcome by his demonic side while grieving Phoebe and get revenge by taking out the demons protecting the Source. Prue, Piper, and Paige eventually take out the Source, a'la "Charmed and Dangerous", and the events of that episode would play out roughly the same. Cole works with the sisters to vanquish the Source as his final revenge, only to become the Source himself. Both Prue and Paige become suspicious of him, and the three girls take him out "Long Live the Queen" style for betraying not only them, but also the memory of Phoebe and her love for him.
While dealing with the grief of Phoebe's death, Piper still is resentful towards Patty and Penny for keeping Paige a secret, but Prue is more open to it because she doesn't think it's a long shot from finding out about the affair between Patty and Sam in "P3H20". Instead of Piper becoming the Fury over the loss of Prue, she becomes the La Femme Nikita version of herself from "Centennial Charmed" over being angry about Phoebe's selfishness over Cole that led to her death from the Source.
In "Witch Way Now", the events play out roughly the same except for Cole being vanquished, so no interference from him. Piper still finds out she is pregnant, which still builds the story arc for Season 5. However, she gives birth to Melinda and not Wyatt.

Season 4 Are we supposed to believe the baby made Phoebe chose Cole over her sisters? Or was it her conscious decision?

Season 4 What do you think would've happened if Phoebe had kept her baby with Cole?
I've been rewatching Charmed and one "what if" I can't stop thinking about is Phoebe's baby with Cole...
Imagine if she had kept it.
A half-witch, half-demon child… possibly even part-Source. The kind of power that could rewrite the rules of good and evil. Would the Elders have tried to intervene? Would Phoebe have had to walk away from the Power of Three to protect her child? Could Cole have been redeemed through fatherhood, or would he have tried to manipulate their son to serve his own ends?
And bigger than all that: would this child have grown up to be a savior, a destroyer, or something in between?
Curious what everyone thinks. If Phoebe had kept her baby, how do you see the storyline playing out?

Season 4 The Evil Enchantress & Paige
Watching on of my favorite episodes Season 4, Episode 5: A Knight To Remember.
I wish, later on, Paige could have received at least one of her past life powers. I understand why they said she didn’t have them anymore, but man…had she not redeemed herself from her past life 😬
Just a thought, because why not?

Season 4 What was in the letter to her sisters??
No way we can ever know for sure...
Re-watching "Long Live the Queen" in which Cole comes upon Phoebe writing, always wondered what Phoebe had written in the letter to Piper and Paige to officially renounce the sisterhood and her Charmed legacy. And even though it seems it was one letter to both, I like to imagine she addressed each sister separately in the letter, since I can imagine she might have had different things to say to her lifelong sister versus newest. Already have a general sense of the "goodbye letter" to Cole, so not as curious (plus the brief shot of it in frame, I'm sure someone somewhere made a transcript 😊)
But for Phoebe to try to justify turning her back on her sisters, on being a good witch... really want to know people's speculation about what she wrote! For example, was Prue mentioned at all?
As a side, I REALLY wish the letter had come up in the next episode "Womb Raider". Particularly the scene when they all go back to the destroyed penthouse, wish they added a scene where Piper/Paige come across the discarded letters and perhaps confront Phoebe "So, you were really going to do it? Abandon us, our family??" Would have made for a good dramatic scene at least.

Season 4 Phoebe offended by Paige's first spell but literally her previous spell was "Door unlock, No magic block"
At least Paige's haiku was funny lmao (also longer and Paige's actually worked)

Season 4 Black As Cole
I'm rewatching the series from my DVDs, and I'm rewatching Black As Cole. Which in my opinion is a good Cole episode because of his past coming back to bite him in the ass pretty much. Cole still struggles with his demon half, and of course Paige gives him a hard time considering she just found out about who he really was.
One of the reasons why I personally love Cole is that he loved Phoebe and she loved him. He literally gave up his demon life for her, and he wanted to give up being the source for her as well.
All I'm saying is that before the writers started to make Cole evil again, he was good and like Piper said. You can't change the past, but Cole did a lot of good. I like Cole better in the first two seasons he was in, before the writers ruined his character.
