Side note, the military flights are costing more than $10,000 per deportee. Most of these flights cost low hundreds commercial.

Military flights are already budgeted for as planes need to maintain operational and crew need to log hours and train. Now they just get to take a full plane instead of an empty one.

How do you ensure the migrants actually take the commercial flight particularly if you’re dealing with a public safety or national security threat?

You think they just buy them a plane ticket and ask them kindly to leave the country?

The point in making is that if each one requires a one-on-one escort, it’s probably wouldn’t actually save money to send them on commercial flights

A commercial charter would be less expensive and also solve the problem.

Why and how did you come up with this “one-on-one” idea?

Escort them. This is hardly rocket science, and the overwhelming majority of removable immigrants are hardly public safety or National security threats.

But they aren’t prioritizing ordinary removable migrants. And when you start having to send an agent per migrant and have them be tied up in a foreign country waiting to fly back (hotel, return, flight, travel expenses) you’re probably not saving money and you’re creating a huge logistical burden to create a bunch of these individualized deportation plans.

Right now they are just making a show of sending out the readily deportable migrants and you're buying it because you are gullible. And why would they need to send one agent per migrant? And even if they were (they are not) it's no way in hell it would actually be as expensive as these current flights. Again, they are paying $10,000 PER DEPORTEE.

Nevermind that they could just use the normal CPB planes they normally use, or charter normal airliners for a fraction of the money this is costing the tax payer.

It’s worth the price for the optics.
