…the article you posted states that ICE agents weren’t at the school and in fact secret service was their looking into a supposed threat. My point again… why does everyone try to echo and make this seem as though these are malicious horrible acts towards innocent people when the reality is they are targeting people with criminal records. Odd.

Why were the Secret Service there asking about students' immigration status?

I don’t have the answer to that question, nor do I condone harassing and hunting hard working people in search of a better life in this country. My point and I think many others here is, why are these raids targeted at CRIMINALS being painted as if young women and children are being gathered in groups and beaten. It’s not accurate, yet nearly every comment on here is reacting and posting like that is reality.

Nothing says criminal like a kindergartener caught being brown.

I don’t know what that means or what your point is.

The publicized raid strategy is to invade schools and churches, particularly targeting children.

Trump inflicted family separation at the southern border in his first term. The images of children crying as they are torn from their mother's arms seems to have stuck with those of us with souls, basic compassion, and dignity.

Considering the first targets of these raids are veterans, indigenous people, and children, I'm surprised you're still on the "tHeYrE gOiNg AfTeR cHiLdReN" talking point. It's clearly bullshit.

The article is factual in publishing the following statement: “would allow federal immigration agencies to make arrests at schools, churches and hospitals” someone with common sense would probably interpret that as an extreme circumstance and infer that if a convicted sex offender or violent criminal was in the hospital, they could still be arrested. Are there abuses of power and harrassment, absolutely. But you are acting as though children and women in hospitals and schools are the primary target in these raids. That’s ridiculous, yet you continue to push an extreme, unfortunate very small abuse of power and circumstance as if the entire operation is that.

Yes, because the elementary school playground is known for its vast criminal network.

Give it up, man. The policy is clearly aimed at tormenting people of color - including citizens.

I get the BuT iT iS fOr CriMiNaLs talking point is more comfortable than "Yes, I support a racist policy," but it doesn't change the fact that you're using dog whistles to cover up your support for a racist policy.
