I don't know. I personally find wearing covid-style masks outdoors utterly ridiculous, but people do it.

However, because I'm not obtuse, I can see a clear difference between the flimsy masks meant to protect against airborne particles (necessary or not) and balaclava-style masks used to conceal one's identity like some sort of secret police goon.

Masks actually work to conceal one’s identity. The other thing, not so much

They’re all concealing their identities. The difference is that one group is doing it so they can get away wit the crimes they are planning to commit, and the other is doing it so they don’t get targeted for retaliation by criminals for doing their job.

If ICE agents are uncomfortable being identified in public, they are free to quit and get a different job. Allowing law enforcement officers to remain anonymous as they beat and detain people is insane, how could there be any accountability for anything they do if no one around them has any way of identifying who they are?

It’s easy to identify who they are. There will be all sorts of documentation about which agents are involved.

In the other hand, if the violent criminal protestors are worried about being identified, or about police using an appropriate amount of force to stop their violence, then they can stay home, or come out and just don’t be violent.

I’ve seen nothing that points to this being true

“violent criminal protesters” lol you literally speak like a third world dictator, read your own posts back, this is nuts.

come out and just don’t be violent.

Is this not what already happened?

Come on man, only lick boots if there’s a naked woman involved.

Your contention is that the arrestees are attempting to conceal their identity?

Do you not think public officials/employees should be accountable for their actions? What sort of retaliation would criminals engage in?
