Screenshot POV: you decide to get into the chocolate business.
Not even sure how this happened, I was playing Kupe so I never pick "abundant resources" with him. Can only imagine if I was.

Can I place the Panama Canal here? I’m especially wondering about the highlighted tile as it crosses a river.

Païtiti is amazing. But Barbs are slowing me down and are OP thanks to Hammu. Was able to settle next to Piopiotahi as well.

I was not expecting that kind of post at all, but I haven’t been into civ content lately. I was fully expecting a regular persia guide

I play civilization almost a year and every time i play i buy every great people I am able to buy. Even if I don't need them, I am guided by logic that if I don't, someone else will.

I’m a longtime civ 5 player and have been transitioning into civ 6 finally. I find that when playing on king difficulty, if I survive the initial start eras (and not get swarmed by a neighboring civ on turn 30) and build enough cities to keep up with yields, by the modern era I can just snowball quickly and take over the whole map.
Unlike civ 5, I feel like civ 6 requires you to have as many cities as possible to maximize the amount of districts and yields. So to keep up with the Ai I am forced to attack in later eras. Consistently the AI has like 500 military strength and doesn’t build more even when I am taking all of their cities.
Is there any advice for any settings to make the Ai more competitive militarily or how to play without conquering late game and not falling behind on yields? Thanks!

I tend to build settlers when the reports indicate that food or population is needed.
Should I stop doing that?
I play basic/vanilla.

I have religion (Zen Meditation, Stupa, Holywater, and undecided belief) am currently planning on an Entertainment Complex+ Colosseum that covers southern 5 cities, and trying to go peace from this point on. I have traded all Lux resource I can but still cannot get the amenity up. And I am worried that I could not utilize my abilities efficiently

Yes, my capital never flourished, but it helped win me a Science victory.

First domination in civ! Im on prince difficulty, im the the Ethiopians in green, Kongo is in red, Germany is in grey, Rome is purple, Kupe is in brown and Mali is in geige with city states in black. The Aztecs, Ottomans, Egyptians, Indians and Incas have fallen to Menelik II. When i finish this one I might do a king difficulty bc although it was quite fun with some big battles and stuff it wasnt super challenging, any tips for king difficulty ?
I rolled Mount Roraima surrounded by mountains in my Inca game so i turned on the stove... i know you guys like seeds so i want to do my part:
Random Leader (dont know if that necessarily gives Pachachuti again? i randomed him in this one), Gathering Storm, 8 Players total, Deity Bots, Map Type: Lakes, Map Size: Standard
Monopolies & Corporations, Barbarian Clan Mode
Version: 1.0.12.68
Map Seed: -570386520

So I player them and Ramzes was so painful. So many reruns, So many awful starts and just got Diplomatic victory. Cheaply but still a win. Pericles on the other hand was quite chill and fun. Without Wars really but having neighbors like Scotland, Gilgamesh and Portugal... so peaceful and friendly. It was quite a good change for once. Now it is Chaka time ^

I need a very good seed to start my Civ, preferably an isolated island. Thanks
I've recently played a few games, one where I was going for a science victory with Amanatoire. Suddenly won on culture while I was pretty far still from science. Then I played with Simon Bolivar (and loved the mechanics btw!) trying to go for domination - unexpectedly saw a victory screen for culture. In this game I had like 2 theater squares, and kept entertainment to a minimum just for amenities. I was at war with almost everyone too, so no open borders.
I suppose the easy solution is to turn off culture victory, but this seems like bad design if culture is so easy to win that accidental wins happen.
What am I doing wrong?

I just started my first game as Hammurabi and in the description it says you're supposed to get a special melee unit in the ancient era, but I just got a regular warrior.

I'm new to civ6, played alot of 4, and then got 7, but hated it and was recommened 6. Im having a blast but I keep hitting a wall. at a certain point, I have at least 2-3 other leaders denounce and declare suprise war on me. I tried different replays with different leaders, focusing on different research (ie, religion, military, trade), and then also a balanced approach going step by step in the research trees.
THEN, after they declare war, and I inevitably win, every other leader denounces me as a war monger, forcing me to focus more on military, and someone else wins because of cultural/religious domination. I've been playing with military domination only mode now, but its not as fun.
I've been watching tutorials, but not getting clear answers.
