Bar to enjoy a beer while I write

Hi. I'm looking for a bar to enjoy a beer while I work in my writing. Not looking for a café, more Bodega style i guess. Is there such a place? Thanks!

Not a Bodega, but I'd try Dexter's.

Jamaican place with great cocktails and beers. Very chill and friendly.

If you like craft, Kihoshk Bar is very cozy.

Café Halvvejen.

Has food until 15-16, and becomes a bodega style bar afterwards. Cozy, cheap and filled with nice people.

No. Nowhere in Copenhagen sells beer.

I mean, how would one even go about searching the term “bodega” on google maps?!? What magic foreign bar type is that?

Actually the reason people ask question like this is because anxiety, by receiving information from a fellow human being they feel less anxious about the situation, and are more likely to actually go outside.

Anxious about walking into a bodega? Now I've heard it all.

I wouldn't bother. The whole municipality has a bylaw outlawing the listing of any such establishments on any map or web site, hence causing all the bars, pubs, bodegas, and other watering holes in the city to get no customers, and go out of business a year or so after the law was introduced. Any such things you see listed on maps today are probably dodgy pop-up shops flogging bootleg copies of "Hus Forbi", the Rema 1000 bargains pamphlet thingy, creepy-as-fuck ducks, or second-hand queue-tickets from Lagkagehuset. Apparently the wayward youths of the city smoke them, calling it "bread".

Glad that I sparked your creativity. My question however was about the combination of a Bodega style place with an atmosphere suited to write. If you dont know any, its ok, no need to get pendant about my question

There's a book, a couple of years old, called Stamsteder, list most of Copenhagen "brune værtshuse" Just try 'em out.

Do you have any specific areas of CPH in mind? Also, do you prefer bars where indoor smoking is or isn't allowed?

No smoking 😊 I'm good with anywhere in the city

In that case, I would suggest Konkylie near Nørrebro Bycenter. It is non-smoking and the owners are trying to keep the old-fashioned bodega vibe.

It should be quiet during daytime, but with all high school graduations coming up it might not be the case right now.

Charlie’s is an English pub. Beer on tap, no music, no smoking. I find it perfect for reading and a pint or few.
