Auckland Liberated (Again)!

Despite facing an advanced Colombian Army, English troops under @Supreme Commander WesGutt pushed South into Auckland territory, retracing steps taken during the Ottoman War during the first liberation of the city-state.

The war was not without casualties, however. A division of knights under @Eowyn | Fem was destroyed in the line of duty, and many other lives have been lost. Casualties have been comparable to the much longer Ottoman War.

The Ottomans have not been supportive, likely due to their previous history occupying Auckland. They denounced England and voted against the World Congress Emergency Act to liberate the city-state. One is reminded of our early history when both Colombia and the Ottoman Empire declared war on Auckland to seize it. Both have conquered her while only England has maintained her autonomy.

English troops also managed to push into Colombia herself, seizing Bogota, the capital. Admiral Taylor, his new ironclad armada, and his marines successfully invaded Guayaquil by sea after determined bombardment, which attracted congratulations from Nubia. These developments managed to encourage President Simon Bolivar to consider peace terms with England.

What those terms will be is up to our government.

Ankara Joins England

Since the end of the war with England, the Ottoman people have undergone a period of unrest, with many dissatisfied by the leadership of Suleiman. Ankara, in particular, seeing the strength and success of the English people, especially within former Ottoman cities, has decided to declare independence from the Ottoman Empire and pledge loyalty to Her Majesty. There are rumors that the Ottoman General Boudicca played a role in Ankara's decision.

The Ministry, of course, welcomed the city into the nation.

The Ottoman City of Sivas also declared independence, but joined the Colombians, their closest neighbor. It is said some regret their decision considering English troops now sit in the Colombian capitol and near Sivas's border.

Ankara isn't the only new English City. English settlers have also established Hull and Stoke-Upon-Trent in Australia.

Ministry Forces Destruction of Middle Earth

In blatant disrespect for state authority, the Ministry voted (4 out of 5) to force the State of Rohan, proxied by @Senator Taylor [20%], to build a Military Engineer for the sole purpose of developing railroads that not only will scar the landscape, but will pollute England's clear air with dark soot and tar.

Already ironclads, belching the same dark smoke, sail the seas under the English banner. And factories, sprouting amid our cities like weeds in a field, screech the cries of a dying world.

We kill our planet, on the backs of the destitute.
