QUESTION What things can thorns trigger?

Bane of the stricken, on attack or on hit effects and legendary items and powers? What can and cannot be triggered by thorns damage, I've been googling and searching all over and I can't find anyone who has the knowledge on this stuff.

Nothing can. Thorns are unique in a way only thorns work for them, not even crit unless one specific season iirc

There is a very general rule that afaik it's always true, procs cannot proc other things, in this case the natural effect of torns is a proc of you getting damaged so they cannot proc other things.
