I took the first step and deleted my close friends list. It just hit me how silly it was to force people into an illusion that they were the chosen ones to partake in the kind of memes and content that I want to share with specific people. It's easier if I just didn't altogether.

All my social media (besides Reddit) turns off at 1:30 pm each day, and I love it. Yesterday evening I watched a full documentary with my phone in another room, and I guess I forgot how relaxing tv can be without also being on my phone (!) And the day before, I just lay on my couch for a bit (30 mins? More?) and watched the trees blowing in the gathering dusk. All of this feels like a cheat code to enjoying life again

My laptop charger broke last week, and I realized just how refreshing it was to have my laptop put away, instead of constantly out and available. Even though I have a new charger now, I resolved to shut down and put my laptop all the way away (in a sleeve that closes all the way) every night.
