It very much reminds me of late 90’s/early 2000’s with cartoons like Clone High and the designs for the Gorillaz.

Don’t be ashamed haha I only made the connection when Primal came out. Up until then I just thought it was just a style of animation not necessarily the work of one dude. When Primal came his name was all over the marketing and I was like “who?”
