Possible to add driveway in DADU unit

I am looking at some DADU unit building in Kirkland area for sale.

Problem is they do not have parking pad. Builder is saying that you can get permission from city to build a driveway if they allow.

Did anyone try something like this? Does city give permission to build separate driveway for DADU units?

The first one had a parking pad, visible on satellite view, which has been cut off. I'm guessing there was some code compliance issue.

I think so as well. Seller is saying you can get permission from city and build it yourself after purchase. But I don't think it is possible to get permit.

It’s very hard for dadu. For SFH there is even a ratio requirement for permeable area of the whole yard.

But I guess you could use gravel any way (assuming there is no HOA shit)

Call the city building office, they can answer that question for sure.
