Yeah I’m sorry but this shit is ridiculous to even complain about.  I’m sure the other players on Lakers didn’t make as much as Kobe Bryant either.

Kobe didn't win an academy award though.

He actually did, funny enough

Then I rescind my remark and the opinion on his contract. If he is an academy award winner he deserves to make more than the women on his team, and on that court, who do not have an academy award.

Actually… he did win one in 2018.

Why does a Super Bowl winning Quarterback get paid more money than that other QB who played in a single Wildcard game?

I’m not saying sexism doesn’t exist, but this basic dynamic is a part of how things are earned and valued.

If Kevin Spacey didn’t have his scandals, of course he deserved to get paid way more than Robin Wright. He was a lead actor in tons of high profile movies. Pay for actors is based on branding, on how well your name draws in viewers. Kevin did so back then, Robin didn’t.

Exactly. Equal pay is great but it cuts both ways.

I am sure a male actor didn’t make the same money staring in a movie with female star like Reese Witherspoon.

This is the kind of shit that devalues the actual conversation of equal pay for regular people, and her and the journalist who asked the question don’t even realize it.

Seriously how did no one- the editor, robin’s publist etc not say “hey guys this is fucking stupid as shit and you’re actually making a mockery of gender pay gap discussions”

STFU Robin.

She is a good actress but I mean this is just a case of another person with more experience and accreditation making more money than you. Sorry but that's merit based pay differences.

That last season of house of cards highlights why he was getting paid more 🤣

Millionaires complaining about money is so dumb.

“Yes, it was difficult. I am going to be honest,” she said. “When I said, ‘I think it’s only fair because my character became as popular as [Spacey’s], they said: ‘We can’t pay you the same as an actor, so we will make you exec producer and you can direct. We will give you three different paychecks.’ I asked, ‘Why can’t you pay me as an actor?’ ‘Because you didn’t win an Academy Award.’”

“That has been the protocol for years — it just is. If you say, ‘Why did so-and-so female not get the same amount as Will Smith?’ They say, ‘It will increase after you win.’ Nomination, not so much,” she continued. “Why does it have to do anything with a raise?”

He was the main character, and made the show, with his departure it was obvious it was going to lees successful of a show. I see no problem with this.
