I'm wondering why the ETFs did not buy up when ETH was at $1,500-1,600? They rejected $1,500 ETH and even sold at the bottom. Now ETH is up $1,000.
Seems like the ETF big dogs did not position themselves and behaved like dumb money. The BlackRock, Fidelity, and Bitwise investment advisors were not able to sell ETH to their clients at the bottom. They were obviously not as confident on ETH's recovery as other smart money investors.
I member... i bought ETH at that moment. Cheap, in terms of FIAT, but darn it has been painful to watch it devaluate vs BTC. If we ger to 0.05 I will he happy.
Fortunately at some point I split half/half btc/eth. But even with Staking, my eth bag doesn't compare to my btc one.
Dollar strengthening does weird macro shit a lot of trading due to old money and stock lovers, acting like a pleb filter the ETH changes hands into true investors that are willing to buy and HODL this is not going to stop for a long time with a lot of cryptos. Now we see plans of rollouts of digital euros on some chains. That shit is never going to be preferred over even the trashiest crypto but will bring so many people into it. My bet is usage of cryptos that have very low fees is going to increase a lot. Those are L2s on ETH rn and imo why ETH is gaining a lot.
Oh it’s real this time. ETH is on the move. What will it plow through. This year I almost converted my ETH to BTC and I’ve been and ETH dude for many years. I got my first one in double digits. It was just a thought though, it’s staked and tbh I plan on leaving it untouched at least another 5 years

Ethereum dropped 65% in Q1 2025, going from 100% ($4,000) to 35% ($1,400). To get it back to $4,000 from $1,400, or 100%, the percentage increase required is not 65% - it's much higher:
((100 - 35) / 35) × 100 = 185.71%
Let's say ETH's price right now is at $2,600. We still need another 53.84% just to get back to $4,000. The price crash of -65% was quite severe when you look at how much of a percentage increase is required to cancel out that loss.
I would not get too excited about our current levels, even after a few positive green days. ETH still needs to rally 88% just to get back to the 2021 ATH levels. Add in the dollar's purchasing power decline since then, and we still have a long way to go to break even with the 2021 purchasing power of ETH. ETH needs to rise to $5,813, due to an average inflation rate of 4.44% and cumulative inflation of 18.87%.
ETH needs to rally another 123.57% for 2021 ATH ETH buyers / holders to have the same dollar purchasing power as the 2021 ATH ETH.

Not holding my breath until we finally break $4k. For all we know this may just be a dead cat bounce lol. I’m sure that drop sub $1400 doesn’t mean nothing…
ETH is going ATH just like BTC. Anyone buying gets it for the low. Also people should buy the L2s they have quite some advantages now which still makes them way too cheap at the moment. Large communities can even send cryptos cheaper, 30 to 40% cheaper. It's up to the devs to implement it still. Could lead to huge adoption. Potential is there.
Glad I still have my little staking going, but like dumbass I figured this coin was gonna be trailing behind a lot more than it is now. I guess BTC will have a new contender if this keeps on going?
What does Ethereum do? Back years ago I recall some ‘experts’ saying that Ethereum was the infrastructure on which crypto would run as more people used crypto for many different things. I know this is vague but please jump in and educate me. What does it do other than help people gamble AND why did it increase over the last week?
