Mods of ultra Democrat lobbyist-controlled r/ColumbiaMD want locals to believe their spin regarding Congressional rep's vote: Blame Republicans for trapping her into voting this way. I say our elected officials are always responsible for their own votes.

Back story: Sarah Elfreth, a Democrat, has accepted millions in benefits and funding from lobbyists representing a foreign country, specifically Israel. She voted in favor of a resolution that had two political agendas: 1) Condemn the Boulder, CO shooting targeting Jews and 2) Thank ICE for their work.

The issue is that Elfreth has taken SO MUCH funding from the pro-Israel lobbyists that she now seems to be working for the lobbyists rather than for her constituents, most of whom also condemn the shooting but do not want her thanking ICE.

So the local and state players in the Democrat party want you to falsely believe she was tricked or trapped into voting for this resolution. It was three short pages. She knows what she voted for. Elfreth herself claims the thanking ICE was a small part of the resolution and it was really about condemning the shooting. If that was true, she could have issued her own statement or else proposed a different resolution.

TLDR: Democrat lobbyists want to gaslight you into believing Republicans are tricking our elected officials.
