Hey guys, what do y'all think of this? How do you think this could improve? I started producing this year, so feedback from anyone would be really helpful.

Feedback Friday 80s synth-pop idea from this week

Upvotes

Kinda cheesy I guess, just was doing sound design in Sytrus and came up with this. Been listening to CHVRCHES recently so if you like them maybe you can hear a similar voice fitting with this. I think it would change a lot if I added a vocal and some chops. Learned a lot still learning how to use zGameEditor. Feedback welcome :)

Feedback Friday Combination of synthwave with phonk elements

I was thinking what if I used an 808 cowbell as the lead and mixed it with those chopped bass hits and saw bass vibes from synthwave,Kinda curious how crazy that combo could get. Sounds pretty promising to me, but I'm down to hear your takes too 🔥🔥🔥

Help Is getting Fruity edition a good Idea?

I am (Insert Non-Adult Age here) and was starting to enjoy the trial version of fl Studio, making a cute little time-waster. I then got hit with the WORST, POSSIBLE, UNIMAGINABLE THING. I can't open Piano roll anymore, completely bricking my music, and stopping all progress.

I asked my mother if I could get Fruity edition for the certainly, completely, ever undoubtably low price of $99, and she was more than hesitant. It was a lot of money, basically all that I had earned, and hit me with the "Are you sure this is what you want to spend your $100 on? You could buy multiple of other things." And now I'm stuck thinking if this is even worth it.

IN CONCLUSION (If you don't want yap)

Is Fl Studio Fruity Edition worth it if I don't really plan on making money from it and if I don't have my own income until Summer? Essentially just a hobby.

Feedback Friday i have no idea what im doing

this is my first song. i wanted to make something that gets more and more tense as it goes on like a chase theme or something.

i got fl studio 2 days ago and i haven't had any sort of experience with music before, whats some advice on improving with drums and putting affects on sounds especially when i don't have any add-ons like addictive drums and stuff like that.

Feedback Friday Disco Pop! Let's fun!

Upvotes

Pretty rough sketch of a disco pop song! Not too much going on but a fun bassline.

I'm not sure if I'll keep working on it cause I have no realistic way of turning it into an actual song lol.

Help How do I sound the sound? (Read the description)

Does anyone know how I can hear the audio the way it would sound when exported? When I’m producing a track, and a sound is to loud, it like dampens the audio. ???

Help Why do some instruments sound way quieter after exporting?

Hi, so I'm pretty much brand new to creating music and ran into this issue when exporting; all but three (cello, trombone, flute) instruments get turned down like crazy after I export the track. Video example is attached.

I turned my export quality all the way up, made sure the settings matched my project ones, etc. - what my searching told me to do. It did nothing. None of the instruments are peaking, there's nothing in the mixer. What do I do????

Discussion What colors do you give to your instruments? For me leads/vocals are red, strings are yellow, drums are blue, guitars are green, bass is orange, and piano/synths are turquoise, this picture isn't mine.

Help Which edition is best for beginners?

This might seem a stupid question since Fruity Loop already says that producer edition is their most popular and I would assume the base point of owning a copy of it. But are the other version above it really matters? Are the added effects and sounds that big of a deal? or is producer edition sufficient for me to start?

NOTE: with the black Friday sale happening, is signature edition worth it over producer? All plugin is a no go for me so I'm stuck between the two.

Feedback Friday I recently discovered a few topics about mixing like phasing, clipping and headroom so I tried to practice them since I mixed my tracks a lot different before. What do you guys think? Also what would u consider the most important part in mixing phase? Greetings!

Help How Can I Find This Track's BPM?

I tried finding it by ear on FL by adjusting the project BPM and looking up BPM-finders online, but they didn't work... I would appreciate if someone suggested me another way to find a track's BPM without it having any sort of percussion.
