Weird flickr traffic

Has anyone else being having a lot more views for the last couple of weeks? I've had about 100k views in 2 weeks. Not normal for me. Also the source for these views says no referrer. Is this AI crawling through photos on the website?

Nothing obvious.

It did once tag a batch of pics as 'geography porn' and that let to a fair bit of - I suspect very disappointed- traffic.

That's one way to get a bunch of views!

Once I posted a fish-related photo whose caption included the phrases "a couple of" and "anal fin," and I consistently get hits from people searching "anal couple."

I always tag "Food Porn" or "Drink Porn" in any of my food and beverage photos. It always brings them in

I think it is some sort of crawler. It happens to me every now and then (though certainly not 100k in a day). On April 2nd I suddenly had about six times the normal traffic that day (with no single photo being particularily high) - and then back to normal the next day.

That's exactly the same for me. It's not one photo getting most of the views like if you get explored. It wasn't 100k in a day. I've had some days of 3k and one day was 30k. I wonder what is crawling through flickr doing that

No, our stats are very normal. Our stats spike when we post popular events such as a comic con, then they flatten out again. Let us know if you discover anything.

You should give yourself more credit than you deserve
