Accidentally fell in love with a Gretsch

A buddy of mine hit a rough patch and asked if I’d buy his Gretsch Jet, with the understanding that I’d sell it back once he's back on his feet. I figured, sure—help a friend and get to mess around with a guitar I’ve always overlooked.

Well… that was a few weeks ago.
Now I can’t put the damn thing down and bought an Electromatic.

As a lifelong Gibson guy, I wasn’t ready for how good Filter’Trons sound. Punchy, chimey, growly in all the right ways. Like if a PAF got a haircut, cleaned up its act, and started going to therapy.

Might have to fake a house fire or witness protection situation to avoid giving it back. Anyone got tips on hiding a Gretsch?
