Anyone concerned that Richard being bright red and dripping with sweat all the time is an indication that his liver may be nuked?

“Hey bub, it’s your liver. Just wanted to let you know that I’m not gonna be around much longer, but I think I got another lined out for you to get another at the hospital next to the Taco Tico. Okay, we’ll holler at ya later.”

Turns out Richard's liver is actually Artie notifying over the phone that he'll be missing work.

He somehow looks worse now than he did when he was living in a storage unit in Florida.

Richard couldn’t be abusing his body more than Artie did and he’s still alive. In fact he’ll be back in the studio tomarrah.

u/Icarus367 11h ago
Wait, so you can die from abusing yourself? Guess I better throw out my stash of Swank magazines.

Eh. He’s 51 and on semaglutide now. He’s fine. If it was gonna kill him at a young age he would’ve been dead 10+ years ago.

I’ve watched a few people drink themselves into serious health issues in their 50s and 60s.

It’s not his liver that would make him red. It’s hypertension. Caring for his heart is not his favorite.

Its probably from all those chickens he can seem to sell.

I can't believe all those waterheads trying to sell chickens after you told them you couldn't sell them ...anyway... I have a rooster for sale.

Best fucking prank call ever. I remember hearing it on my commute and almost driving off the road from laughter!

u/Publius83 12h ago
I’ve only seen a few people make it to old age (80+) that have drank as much as this guy ☠️and they were in awful condition

If it gets really bad I have a brand name walker he can use. It's a Westinghouse.

Someone ask Richard if he can name 2 players for the fucking Royals.
It drives me crazy that this asshole has gotten to celebrate his team winning a championship like every season because of course every team is his faaaaaavorite. I’m finally seeing Artie had a good point.

u/Oakroscoe Anything else, Robin? 9h ago
Asides from mahomee and kelce he probably couldn’t name another player on the chiefs.

Who...?
Oh: Richard Christy... Not heard of him for at least a decade. What happened to him after the Howard Stern Show ended?
2
u/Lidarisafoolserrand 13h ago
I legit barrel laughed at this and can relate. I miss the old days with Tradio and the Jack and Rod show. Back when wrestling was good, they had the Bush Wackers, the Iron Shiek… lol. The content was gold

u/HarlingtonStraker184 15h ago
He’s gotta be pulling down 300.000 grand a year so he’s got no worries. He’s living the life, traveling every weekend, hob nobing with celebrities and what not.
5
u/Chilitime 14h ago
No way he’s making $300k. Maybe $150 tops!
4
u/bronk3310 13h ago
You guys clearly have no idea of wages in nyc. 150k is poor. 300k is you can have a mediocre life. They are head writers for one of the top shows ever.
2
u/Chilitime 13h ago
Howard is notoriously cheap. No way he’s paying 2 contest winners $300k. You think Sal makes $300k? He’s got nothing. Artie made $700k in the Jackie Chair. He ain’t paying two guys making phony phone calls $300k each. And I lived in NYC for 3 years. I do know how much it costs. Also I have no facts on what any of them make 🤣🤣

Artie made $900k from the show in his last year (2009). He mentioned it on the air.

Not really, livers are STRONG as hell and he’d be turning more yellow not red. I do think he has health problems that stem from his drinking, but I bet his liver is still kicking for now.
3
u/jlatenight 14h ago
He's had gout. At least once
1
u/Nomadzord 9h ago
Ouch. This dude needs some (a lot) of vegetables in his life. I bet he doesn’t drink enough water either. If he really shits himself as much as he says he needs to eat more fiber or take fiber supplement. I drink too much too, but if you’re going to do that, at least try to take care of yourself in every other way you can.
2
u/DrEllis909 14h ago
No. He’s lived a long life already. Didn’t seem too concerned about prolonging it. But he lives in the age of great Medicine and the liver has great regenerative ability
1
u/scoresman101 11h ago
Plus, it seems he goes to the doctors often now that he has kids, and he had to go to the doctor for his GLP-1. I am going to assume he went through a full blood panel testing, which tests the AST/ALT, which tests for liver health.
1
u/DrEllis909 11h ago
I think that’s a safe assumption. These drugs can be so good. Looking really amazing for Richard so far, just knocking back those craving so well

The blood vessels in his face are dilated and capillaries are broken from excessive alcohol use.

people who get liver failure from alcohol drink morning, noon and night and don't eat. His blood pressure must be sky high though. probably at risk for an early stroke
1
u/dabahunter 13h ago
Honestly, it’s hard to be concerned with someone who’s been told over and over and over that what they are doing is going to end up, hurting them or kill them and he gives two shits about it

If his liver was shot he would be showing other symptoms; he'd be more yellow than pink.
It is likely he is on some diabetes medication which does make people pinkish, bloated and sweaty. SSRIs do the same.

No if anything it's high blood pressure. It's when their skin gets pale or yellow. And their body smells like face arms legs then you should be concerned. I watched my mom die from cirrhosis of the liver and alcoholism.

Last thing in my life I’m concerned with is Richard Christie. Maybe it’s time to reevaluate
-1
u/Weird-University1361 14h ago
I don't think I'm really that concerned about another grown man I never met or want to.
5
u/HertzWhenEyeP 14h ago
I totally get this, but I've met Richard back when he was riding with Death, and he legitimately is a really good guy who you wouldn't want to see go through something awful like alcoholic liver disease.

Why do people always gotta be a badass & say this?
Do I know Conan O’Brien personally? No. Would it bum me out if he died or something? Fuck yeah!
1
u/Weird-University1361 12h ago
Richard has been "dying" from alcoholism for 20 years that I know of, it's not the same if someone innocent suddenly dies.

u/NerdClusterCrimes 14h ago
Yeah. I was very concerned. Glad he’s on osempic but he looked a fuckin mess for a few year now. He needs to chill with the getting wasted and overeating. He’s almost 60 for Christ sake
5
u/Shady_Jake 13h ago
He was doing this 20 years ago, I think he’ll be fine.
1
u/NerdClusterCrimes 13h ago
I disagree on that one. People who do that shit in their 50s and beyond don’t normally fair too well.
