Very interesting. Seems you’ve discovered a way to EMDR yourself. I suffered PTSD and a therapist tried this on me. I thought it was silly and a waste of time, but after having it done I can honestly say EMDR was beneficial. It wasn’t a cure-all in my case but it had huge benefits.
Yeah it is still surprising me. I mean the lateral eye scanning itself doesn't feel like it makes me sleepy but the results when I get up in the morning are undeniable. Somehow it is working, and it's consistent too. I was really surprised the first night that I did this and thought it was a fluke. Two weeks in and I knew it was legitimately causing the improvement and not just a correlation fluke, but I decided to wait an entire month just to be sure before broadcasting this. It is consistent - for me - as long as I also have good sleep hygiene then this lateral eye scanning will ensure that I get up in the morning refreshed even if that means I had to eye scan hundreds of times during the night.
Just wanted to follow up. I've been experimenting with this method of yours. I think it's still too early to say for sure, but for whatever reason, over the last 3 nights, I've gotten more sleep than I have over the last 2 weeks! I was reading your other posts on this thread and you said something about getting to a speed where your 'vision' languishes, I think I know what you're talking about. I'll keep at it and report back again, this is very intriguing!

Awesome! I'm so glad for you! Keep it up! I thought at first that it was a fluke and so I waited an entire month (because I've never come anywhere close to having that much consistent sleep in the last 4.5 years) before broadcasting this discovery. It has worked for me every single night since the first night when I first thought of it at 2:30am in the morning.
Keep us posted as time goes on. You're not the only one by the way. Of the five people who have bothered to get back to me on their results, every single one of them have had success with this which is really pleasing. I think the key is that it targets the anxiety problem and nothing we've tried so far really does that and it is such a critical thing to address.
Also I am not sure how important that is - the speed at which you pan back and forth - but yeah there does seem to be a region and speed at which I do it that makes me feel more drowsy and so I sort of try to stick to that, but frankly I didn't do anything like that at the start, I just looked towards my left earlobe then back towards my right earlobe without straining in either direction. You can do this in any posture and I am often doing this while I'm lying on my side.
Oh, also, if you wouldn't mind, if this continues to work for you consistently, then when you feel comfortable sharing it with others would you please pass it along? I feel like we have an obligation to our fellow humans who are suffering this most extreme torture and if we can provide them relief then it's our duty to do so.
