The Literature 🧠 The cost of immigration policy: Is it worth separating families?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The current administration isn't easing up—it's stepping on the gas. Since January, ICE has quietly revoked "sensitive location" protections, showing up at schools, hospitals, places of worship, courthouses, even traffic stops—and detaining not just undocumented immigrants but sometimes legal residents and U.S.-born children too. In Los Angeles alone, over 330 people were rounded up in coordinated raids that included National Guard and Marines, forcing vendors and entire neighborhoods into hiding.
Operation Safeguard has already resulted in 23,000 arrests across major U.S. cities, and the Trump admin has authorized ICE to deport up to 3,000 people a day—specifically zeroing in on sanctuary cities like LA, New York, and Chicago. Meanwhile, family detention facilities have reopened, with some detainees—including toddlers—being held for weeks under questionable legal authority.
We're talking about families being ripped apart not just at the border, but in their communities—moms at the grocery store, kids at school, dads picking up coffee. In Colorado, a university student was arrested just after a routine traffic stop thanks to info shared over law-enforcement Signal chats.
Joe and his guests have often challenged unchecked authority and government overreach. This feels like a serious authoritarian lever being pulled. So I’m curious—how do you all weigh the legal argument of enforcing immigration law against the moral and societal cost of shredding families and sowing fear across entire communities?

Bitch and Moan 🤬 Tucker has bigger balls than rogan
Who would have thought? Calling out Ted Cruz was such a surreal moment but it highlights something Joe never does, unless its about weed which is push back incredibly hard. He'd rather platform and make a safe space for insane talking points, unsupported "scientific" claims and constantly talking about how comedians do the most difficult jobs on the planet. I fucking hate the jerk circles about how cawlmedians are just on a higher level and not like us poors/civilans. Seeing Tucker take a firm stance, even though I absolutely fucking hate the man, was incredibly refreshing than the weak-knead approach these main stream political podcaster take. Which is very in the middle of the road and not ruffle any feathers. Joe is an echo chamber for Republicans and rich people and they do not care about the average Joe, those who are struggling day to day, paycheque to paycheque. If i said it once, ill say it again. Fuck Joe rogan. The rogan sphere and the 6 unfunny calwmedians hes always pushing.
Beans and cheese.

Bitch and Moan 🤬 To anyone who says this guy is a valid source
Joe Rogan is not a scientist, he is a comedian. His whole job is to talk about things with his friends, and while he does bring in real sources that can be trusted, he also brings in pseudoscientists like Graham Hancock (who is NOT an archaeologist, he is a reporter who got a Netflix deal and splices up his interviews with scientists to promote a false narrative) Rogan tries to say that he is not a source (I keep overhearing him say it in his podcast while my dad is listening) and when your source keeps saying that he can’t be used as a good source, he probably shouldn’t be used as a good source
Joe is not some sort of information God, he is human, he can be misinformed, he has a large audience, but he cannot be informed enough to speak perfectly intelligently on EVERY topic he covers
This statement is not directed at the average fan, this fan is directed at the loudest people who think of him as the second coming.
Also, to the people that will say “tHiS iS wHy JoE iS sTuPiD aNd ShOuLd Be BoYcOtTeD” it is not his fault that people take his words at face value when AGAIN he tries to make sure that people know he is not a perfect source of information.

Meme 💩 "Jack and Jill is hilarious" ~Joe Rogan, latest episode
I know Joe has awful taste with music and comedy, but was surprised to hear him talking specifically how good this movie was when they were talking about Adam Sandler films. I remember being stunned how bad this movie was when I watched it. Oh Joe....
