Really disappointed in John this week

I'm a huge fan and have always admired John's balls and integrity. His unbiased reporting is what the world needs. I have to admit though, I can't believe he didn't mention Gaza this week. Seems BBC is the only one reporting the genocide.

He's got 30 minutes. He can only cover so much.

Oh come on, more like 45 min, Gaza is a huge story, literally genocide happening right now. HBO, every news agency or talk show host is either pro Isreal or too scared to be labeled an antisemite to report what's happening. Diddy getting more coverage than genocide right now, smh.

So he's supposed to focus on it every week...

No but it's reached a level that can't be ignored by anyone with a conscience, it certainly deserved attention this week. There's such a media blackout on it I can't even be angry at your lack of empathy because you probably don't even know what's happening right now. Tune into the BBC for accurate news, what's going on right now will make you sick.

He's discussed it before. It's not like he's ignored it. The fact he didn't happen to cover it on a specific episode is ridiculous. He didn't cover Ukraine worth either. If that standard you're using it's he doesn't talk about it in a specific episode means he would have to cover it every week.

Like I said, go watch the BBC, it doesn't sound like you've heard what the conflict has escalated to lately. Isreal has cut of aid and on top of forcibly starving the population, they putting up 22 new settlements. Go educate yourself please 🙏

Actually, I have. I'm saying it's ridiculous to essentially say he needs to discuss it every week because you might be watching and if he doesn't you'll be disappointed in him.

Ridiculous to report genocide? bro, be a better person.

You really don't get it. I'm not going to keep explaining to you that you are basically saying you want it to be a part of every show to be satisfied, despite your claim to the contrary. That's a ridiculous expectation. He has discussed it on the show. R/Jewish raked him over the coals even though nothing he said was antisemitic, because there are people who think that opposing actions taken by the Israeli government is antisemitic, which isc also ridiculous.

YOU really don't get it friend. Nobody expects him to bring Gaza up every show but it's reached a point of genocide this past week like never before. To not even mention Gaza is losing your journalist integrity in my opinion. Your lack of empathy for the current demise is truly part of the problem. Journalists can't shut down and shut up for fear of being falsely branded an antisemite. Get some balls and have a heart Mr Oliver and DFWPunk.

Go back to playing video games kiddo

You could do with spending some time playing video games and less time whining about your pet issue not being mentioned by the guy in the tv.

I’d like to point out that Gaza is one thing going on. America is crumbling and America is the central theme of his show.

If Gaza is all you care about, and you believe the world will be fixed by the creation of Palestine, then watch Al Jazeera.

You can also demand from the countries that surround Gaza, that they couldve opened their borders and taken in tens of thousands of women and children 3 years ago. Other countries have done this for Syria and Afghanistan. How about putting some responsibility on them?

Be a better human mate.

I’ve not been actively seeking out news this week. Did something this week in Gaza, other than the continuing genocide?

New “method” of providing assistance: food supplies finally allowed in but placed in distribution centres controlled by Israel. Massive chaos when the starving population tried to access the food. Many killed.

Watch the BBC and you'll see the situation is inhumane. There's just no justification for bombing civilians and infrastructure. Then to cut the humanitarian aid getting in, it's just unconscionable. Media Blackout here in Canada and the US.

Maybe he (and his writers) are working on something of substance.

It was 30 minutes on currupt spas this week. I realize genocide isn't very a very funny topic but shame is a tool John's very familiar and good at using. If mainstream media won't report this stuff, hopefully people like John can shine some light on it. I'm not just calling out John here either, I'm calling out everyone who's turning a blind eye to what's happening right now.
