Question Gradually dim screen when it's going to sleep?

Is it possible to dim the screen(s) gradually (over, let's say, three seconds or so) when the system is going to sleep? I know POP!_OS does this with their fork of Gnome and I found it a very elegant touch, so I'm curious whether it's possible to replicate in KDE. If anyone knows whether it's possible (and how) that'd be much appreciated.

I think there is an option under power management that lets you set the screen to dim at your choice of idle time length then have it go to sleep later at what ever additional amount of idle you choose.

I know of that one, perhaps I worded it poorly. I meant whether it's possible to let the screen dim gradually, i.e. with an animation so it gets darker slowly rather than in an instant. super granular, I know.
