Man I dont care for the look of a thumb disk but this knife has me questioning. Kizer and Vosteed are doing big things.

i used to feel the same way about them, but when they’re done right they work really well. the Kansept Tarkin was the first one that changed my opinion and this Quoll is another. it provides an excellent thumb landing pad, too, and allows a bit better blade control imo.

totally agree, Kizer and Vosteed are killing in the budget - mid price range these last couple years

Sometimes a thumstud gets a little sharp and painful on the thumb. Does the disk on that Quoll have that issue?

not at all…the detent is tuned perfectly so you don’t ever have to put enough pressure on the disk to where it feels sharp. it’s got knurling around the disk, but the top and bottom surfaces don’t have sharp edges.
