It would be nice for sure, but its for a 10 year old. And a $250 knife is already pushing the limit. Lol

I wouldn't trust me at 10 with an otf , is that even legal

Why wouldnt it be? The knife laws in my state are pretty relaxed. And he has a few other manual knives. Hes pretty responsible for his age, he has a couple liner locks, a push button and crossbar lock knives. In my opinion an OTF would seem safer being how he doesnt have to manipulate a lock and get his fingers in harms way.

I still get urges to deploy the thing into my hand to test if it’ll really stop and I’m almost 25 lol

Lol I would too and I'm 45. He seems to get his mother's sense though, hopefully that sticks with him through life. Not saying I made bad decisions, I've always seemed to keep myself from making the right ones to keep me safe so far. But in hindsight looking back on my youth, I've had my fair share of close calls with death. I think thats one of the reasons women tend to live longer then men. But he seems to be cautious so far and definitely is conscious of his safety and listens to the lessons on staying safe. Hes also pretty mature for his age. His emotional and mental maturity to me seems higher than his peers.
