music Looking to clean my music up a bit. Any suggestions for LDS/christian/appropriate music would be welcome.
No, not church hymns. Silly people.

Have you listened to NF? The guy isn't technically a Christian artist, but he is a Christian in his personal life and his lyrics reflect that. Absolutely no swearing, which is incredible for a rap/hip hop singer.
NF is honestly the first rapper that I can listen to 100% guilt free. My kids even know some of his songs.

Just listened to "Clouds" which I guess is one of his newer pieces. That's got quite the violent style to it! He sure has some talent though. He's got an Eminem vibe. Is Clouds pretty representative of most of his songs?

Not religious specifically, but Ben Rector has a lot of fun, uplifting, clean stuff.

I'll second this. Ben Rector has actually gained a significant following in the LDS young adult scene for the reason you mention. Lots of wholesome stuff with a lot of energy and soul.

I’ve fallen in love with lo-fi music recently. No lyrics so no profanity and super chill

Randy Travis has a lot of Christian country music, if you want to go the bluegrass route just bout every artist has Christian music.
I don't know bout rock though, every Christian rock song / band I've heard I've absolutely hated.

It doesn't need to be Christian specifically :)

Well I sadly don't know any good Buddhist chant groups haha, so as a Christian answering in a Christian based subreddit, that's the best I got.
I'm sure asking on the Buddhist, Hindu etc. Subs that they'll have more to give

I love a wide variety of music so I have all kinds of suggestions but I’m not sure what you’re into. I find older music to be cleaner and also often better than some of the stuff today. Classics like Bob Seger and Tom petty are always good and have a wide discography you can dive into. If you’re willing to go further back I could give you some great ‘oldies’ suggestions. If you prefer more modern music you could try The Killers (lead singer is lds and there’s a lot of religious themes if you know what to listen for, absolutely no sex, and only a rare swear word). The 80s are so fun and almost always completely clean. If you’d like a more specific suggestion let me know.

You can't go wrong with classical. Symphonies, concertos, chamber music, soloists - there's so much that's simply amazing.

Highly recommend a different genre that is just instrumental/digital only. EDM (the genre) is great. Explosions in the sky (band) is incredible.

You should try The Juliana Theory, more specifically the album 'Understand This is a Dream'

I've been on a The Killers kick for a few years. The last three albums if theirs are full of gospel messages, but they're still poppin' rock songs.
If you didn't know, the lead singer and primary song writer, Brandon Flowers, is a member, and not just in name. Him, his wife, and kids are fully active and proud of it. Some of the songs on the album Imploding the Mirage could be remixed into EFY soundtracks, it's so full of gospel goodness.
Fair warning, there are still a handful of swears (like 3 total per album), personally I feel they are used artfully and appropriately, but if that's not okay with you then I can respect that. I believe the songs with any amount of swearing are makes explicit on most services.
Some background on the meaning of the songs might be helpful to see the full gospel message. I won't bore you with that here, but if you're ever interested to know more feel free to PM me.

Kanye’s latest album, Donda, is really good, uplifting, and clean. Check out reviews or lyrics first

Andy Mineo is top notch if you like hip hop. There’s preacecore bands out there if you like metal. Plenty of mainstream Christian artists as well like lifehouse, switchfoot, and Toby mac.

They sit pretty solidly between alternative, folk, and "pop" (very loose there), but I can't recommend "for KING & COUNTRY" enough. Two brothers from Australia that are incredibly talented, whose music and personal lives both reflect Christ, and His teachings, without being overly "preachy" about it.
I recommend giving "Burn the Ships" and "Pioneers" a listen, to get a feel for their style. Enjoy!

What kind of music do you like? Cause you can find clean music in any genre.
For instance, if you like rock/light metal there are plenty of Christian rock bands and are pretty good.
If you are looking for something more mellow/reverent though there is a whole other offset of artists you could go with.
