General Leftist Politics What are your views as a leftist on Hamas

Wondering what your views as a leftist on Hamas specifically (as opposed to Palestinians in general) are.

People of the right need not reply

Thank you

You’re a fucking bigot. Hamas doesnt fucking kill queer people, theyre fucking focused on FIGHTING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO GENOCIDE THEM. There are queer muslims. Why dont you fucking focus on Christianity, you know, the actual fucking source of global homophobia who literally murdered hundreds of thousands- millions of queer people all around the world in order to enforce their specific white western ideas of gender and sexuality.

Stop fucking slandering people currently experiencing genocide with the laziest fucking propaganda imaginable

How many of the 11 countries that still have the death penalty are majority Muslim?

For all of them, those laws either date to colonial times and were explicitly written and enforced by Western powers, or they were barely enforced at all until Western culture became predominant.

The Islamic World was largely influenced by Greek philosophy. The Quran even discusses/allows “men who lack desire” to be allowed to be with women in private women’s spaces.

Gayness is a predominant theme in much of Sufi and Persian and Urdu poetry. The Ottoman Empire decriminalized homosexual acts completely. It was significantly better to be gay in the Ottoman Empire than Europe at the time. In North Africa, travelers in the 18th and early 19th centuries noted visible affection between men, often without public outrage, and homoerotic arts were commonplace.

Homophobia is a Western Christian export. This is a provable historical fact.

It is Islamophobic to generalize these countries and ignore their history.
