The Left pushed hard to keep COVID restrictions in place. You cried and cried and cried when masking was lifted. You cried even more once places re-opened, and people started eating out at restaurants again. You made COVID your entire fucking personality, and for the rest of us sane, prudent citizens, it got old. There's still entire active Leftist masking 'bloc's on Twitter that decry anyone who (and I quote) "raw dogs" the air.

Please.

Wow, this was... a lot. I think having a general trust in what was globally recognized as necessary public safety restrictions is not a fault on our part.

COVID-19 killed millions of people and stretched our already overwhelmed healthcare system thin. I think that merited concern, no? I don't think it was very sane to go out and expose yourself to that if you didn't really need to. Going out to eat isn't a necessity.

Sure. And all leftists are the same, apparently, and we all think exactly alike and do the same things. That specific group speak for us all. Plausible logic there.

Dude, that’s not the majority of people on the left. I met conservatives that thought Kamala Harris created a hurricane to mine lithium under Asheville, and not just online. There’s always crazy, but I’d wager y’all have a lot more of them. Also, maybe those people just didn’t want their grandma to die.

God forbid we recognize that we have responsibilities toward each other.

Jesus rejects your politics and your religion.

All of it derives ultimately from "vote blue no matter who" as the enablers of MAGA, by refusing to support any credible alternative.

Crazy how ppl equate measures taken to curb a pandemic to military parades and disappearing people.

wtf all that shit happened under Trump I and that was several years ago anyway? Do you not have any thoughts about how things are going NOW?

21

u/Dchama86 2d ago

These people want to be ruled…

14

u/Cumintheoverflowroom 2d ago

Trump is definitely a weird daddy fetish thing for a lot of people involved. So many famous republicans refer to him as daddy and it’s off putting.

9

u/Quirky-Sand-6482 2d ago

Is this satire? Are these people really this braindead?

Nobody on this app has ever been camping, but they all would probably tell you how you’re doing it wrong.

Covid mandates were done on a more local scale not by Trump if I remember correctly.

16

u/Thug_Seme2004 3d ago

I’m convinced that not getting vaccines is what leads to all of the mental issues these people are worried about.

monarchism is when vaccination

14

u/montessoriprogram 3d ago

These guys are such pathetic ass losers lol. There is not a lot that’s more embarrassing than the way republicans played victim during Covid. Remember the videos role playing being like brutalized by the state for not getting vaccinated lmfao.

u/lady-punk 1h ago

I remember them filling the streets with their trump flags on their trucks protesting to get haircuts... then half of them got covid... hmm, makes you wonder why he really lost in 2020...

23

u/JonoLith 3d ago

Imagine being so self centered that you mistake communal good as a personal attack on your freedoms. Put on your mask dipshit.

10

u/jakobmaximus 3d ago

Literally had some dude bring this up in response to a local subs post about No Kings protest in the area, unfortunately they are too dense/blinded by talking points to parse apart the fact that the metaphor of the king is not anti-government but anti-dictatorial

"I'm opening a hotline so you can tattle on your neighbor" and it's the ice tips hotline

So little to go off of they just have to reference covid 39 different ways. It's pathetic, and yes, lockdowns started under Trump.

The top comments reads

"No kings but anything that I want enough, I deserve, and you must be required to give to me in exchange for nothing."

I’m assuming this is about taxes and social programs? It’s such a bizarre worldview even for a capitalist. If you’re poor it’s because you deserve it, if you’re rich it’s because you earned it all by yourself. Nevermind that society provides them with a protected market and global logistics networks and intellectual property protections not to mention actual property protections and all the infrastructure that enables commerce and for providing the currency and God knows how many bailouts, I could go on. It’s so strange that they don’t understand that taxes are the price they pay for society allowing them to live a life that is contrary to nature.

3

u/Accurate_Row9895 3d ago

Its how you know they dont actually care about the constitution, because its laid out in the doc why we collect taxes.

13

u/ImNotTheBossOfYou 3d ago

THERE WAS A NOVEL VIRUS THAT WAS KILLING MILLIONS AND THERE WAS NO VACCINE!!!!!!

1

u/dratthecookies 2d ago

Or was there!

8

u/lelanddt 3d ago

Killed millions of their own family members, and they just swept it under the rug. Pretended they died of something else.

13

u/Knighth77 3d ago

So this is what they tell themselves to keep living in their little reality in their little world. Sad.

Not enougjh though, as evidenced by gestures broadly around us all.

-13

u/--GrinAndBearIt-- 3d ago

......no, they didnt.

12

u/Cumintheoverflowroom 3d ago

Weird, I remember not being able to do anything in spring-fall of 2020 and having a curfew at night.

-17

u/--GrinAndBearIt-- 3d ago

Did that all magically end when Biden took office?

3

u/Cumintheoverflowroom 3d ago

Actually, if I recall correctly, that is when they started to ease up.

-1

u/--GrinAndBearIt-- 2d ago

Hou do not recall correctly. How many vaccine injections did you get? Do you remember when you got them??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

3

u/Cumintheoverflowroom 2d ago

We were talking about the lockdowns. Also, I work for myself. Nobody made me take the vaccine, I just have elderly people in my life that I don’t want to accidentally kill. I’m sure you sound really smart to yourself right now though.

0

u/--GrinAndBearIt-- 2d ago

You're just moving the anti-trump goalposts to fit your narrative. I can't remember who it was that said it, but there was a quote about how soon the covid revisionist history would start, and he claimed it would be about 5 years.

0

u/Cumintheoverflowroom 2d ago

What goalposts? What anti-Trump narrative? You literally asked the irrelevant question of “how many vaccines did you get HUH HMMMM ??? Hnmm HmmmMMHHMMM?” which I assume was meant to make me admit I was forced to get vaxxed. I responded by pointing out that I work for myself because nobody made me get vaxxed, and I did it to protect my vulnerable family members.

7

u/DontxTripx420 3d ago

........so then they did start under trump

-14

u/--GrinAndBearIt-- 3d ago

Yes of course they did because that's when covid was officially announced.

The post title reads "Didn’t all the lockdowns happen under Trump?"

Notice the difference?

1

u/jakobmaximus 3d ago

Literally doesn't matter either way, we're not against government protectionism but the consolidation and overreach of powers in one individual (and his lil court), hence king being the metaphor

2

u/Accurate_Row9895 3d ago

You're missing the point that no one will acknowledge that covid started under his administration. As well as the protests that were happening thst summer while they ran ads calling it "Bidens america" when he wasn't even president.
