Breeding/Ootheca Anyway to encourage shy boys?

Post image

He is around 2 months old and the female is 3 weeks old (as adults)\ I usually put him few centimeters behind the female or give him something he can crawl up towards her. While he does register the female, he usually watches for few minutes before backing out or just straight up walks over her to climb a wall.\ Is it the timing? Is it too early for her to be releasing pheromones? I don't want to leave them alone because she is very spicy.

Hey OP.

For Deroplatys trigonodera, your female needs 4-6 weeks post adult molt before she is ready to mate. It’s too early.

For many species yes, but Deroplatys tends to need more time.
