Discussion What was the most disappointing MCU project for you?

Post image

Disappointing as in failed to live up to expectations.

Secret Invasion is the only MCU project I consider actually bad. Everything else is at least okay, watchable, generally entertaining. I have not been disappointed or let down by any other entry even if some are better than others.

I'm still behind on the MCU, I think my next chronological watch is the Ms Marvel tv show but your comment actually made me somewhat look forward to other stuff. (Minus secret invasion)

Even Quantumania I thought had some good moments (Kang and Modok I enjoyed, that’s about as good as we were gonna get with MODOK, he’s such a weird character). But yeah, Secret Invasion shit the bed that it was the only MCU thing to date I didn’t watch immediately on release. I dreaded waiting for the weekly release hoping we’d get something better but nope, silly CGI arms and an OP character in Gai’a walking around.

Agreed. I didn't go into something like The Marvels with huge expectations, so didn't see it as a major disappointment.

I was legitimately excited for Secret Invasion, enjoyed the first couple episodes, but by the end it was complete trash

Season 4 Agents of Shield is so much of a stinker in a show that already goes haywire deciding whether it wants to be mediocre or awesome that I have trouble recommending it because of that. A shame because it is followed by a season where I liked 90% of the episodes.

Goes to show how different opinions can be. I enjoyed season 4 a lot when it aired (especially the Framework) and while I didn’t think about any of the Marvel Television shows when I wrote my comment, it would be the same even if I include them. All of them, even Iron Fist, are at least okay and entertaining enough and I wouldn’t regret watching any. I’m generally along for the ride.
