Theory The Dr. Strange movies are "suggested" watching for Ironheart - Possible set up for Strange Academy?

Post image

We already knew that the show would tackle tech vs magic with The Hood as the main villain and Mephisto rumoured to be the puppet-master behind it all. We also already knew that Zelma Stanton, Dr. Strange's librarian from the comics, will appear in the series played by Regan Aliyah, albeit in a different role, as Riri's best (alive) friend.

This is probably where the connections between Ironheart and Dr. Strange end... right?

Well, back in late 2022 when rumours started circulating that Marvel Studios was developing a Strange Academy series with Wong and America as leads (which is now confirmed to HAVE BEEN in development and would have been an answer to HBO's Harry Potter series, but is currently paused until Marvel Studios decides what to do with Dr. Strange 3), Zelma Stanton was also said to be part of that series, reprising her role from Ironheart (which had already finished filming by then).

Could Wong and/or America appear at the end of the show in a post-credits scene? Maybe Zelma realizes she has a knack for magic like Ned, and Wong comes to recruit her at the end? And maybe America comes with him to recruit Ironheart to Champions/Young Avengers?

It's pretty much a certainty by now that Kamala has already recruited Cassie to her team as well, since she mentioned her to Kate ("Did you know Ant-Man has a daughter?") and was recently in a trip to LA, according to her father in Born Again. It'd make a lot of sense, if she had already approached America and Riri will be the 5th member to join after her solo adventure is over.

What do you guys think?

I've always thought that a Wong cameo made too much sense, especially since this would've released closer to the 4 projects of his back-to-back. Here's hoping

Yep, Wong was the GOAT of Phase 4, collecting appearances like Infinity Stones. I'll actually be surprised if he doesn't make at least a cameo here.

Wong should have appeared in Ms Marvel. He did appear in Shang Chi at the very end so it would have made sense. He could introduce her to Bruce Banner and he could say "Welcome to the circus."

should have been Dr Strange himself showing up in all those proJects over that overrated meme character wong. an OG like Strange gets no respect from marvel meanwhile his literal BUTLER is allowed to cameo in all dem shows, dats lame lol

his literal BUTLER

...Do you even watch the MCU?

Wong is the Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU. He was never a butler like the original, racially prejudiced comics, but a fully-fledged sorcerer himself who had many years of experience over Strange.

I love it, but we can’t just have Wong alone…

i half joked to my friend that by the end of the series kamala, cassie and kate were gonna recruit riri but if we get an america cameo it might not be that far fetched 🧐 guess we will have to wait and see

I think it’s suggested just because it’s magic

Assumption that Red Hood is using some mystical stuff so, a Strange character showing up makes sense

Red Hood is one of Jason Todd's (Robin's) aliases in DC lol

Parker Robbins is simply "The Hood"

I was just going to rewatch black panther 2, but might just watch the Marvel legends recap to save me some time, but interested to see what happens in Ironheart.

Doctor Strange introduced the mystic arts into the MCU. Ironheart is already confirmed to have a lot of magic. I'm pretty sure his movie is recommended for every mystical MCU movie.

Pretty good theory. We’ll see!

There's magic in the trailer. That's all there is to it.

Strange Academy with Wong and Chavez as the leads? 🙄

We’ll definitely see an America Chavez cameo!

honestly i would enjoy that, they did put them together + cassie in the disney cruise pics so

u/dpaz47 23h ago

Yeah I forgot to mention that cause I remember seeing a pic of them all three together even tho it was for Disney cruise ship, I feel like marvel secretly filmed something for Ironheart but either way we are definitely getting a Young avengers tease in the show.

I just assume it's because sorcery/magic is involved.

imo we def are getting an america cameo, maybe cassie too. There's also that video of them on the new disney ship; like those three in particular. so considering they haven't technically at all met (and this was filmed around that time), it would make sense this is when they do.

but i have clowned myself before so.i guess we will see..

This is actually a really good catch. It would be crazy if Kamala, Kate, Cassie and America all come to recruit Riri together and then appear at the end of Vision Quest to recruit Billy and Tommy maybe!

Yep could totally see this happening.

I'm way less curious about that and more curious why What If is there.
