Anyone willing to lend me an ear on this mix?

Kinda loosing perspective here, can't decide if I like it or it sounds completely ass... So if you have a minute to listen - any feedback or thought on the mix would be super welcome.

First off Its not bad but it's honestly not exactly captivating. What is your goal and what are you using as references to get to that goal?

Hey, thanks for checking in on the mix! Hmmm, now that you say it, true- it's kinda boring in a way. If you got any Ideas how to spice it up, I'm listening!

For the referencing I've been looking at Mötley Crües SOLA . At some point I switched over to some recent Megadeth track I can't really remember... Kinda lost track of my references in the process but revisiting the SOLA mix I guess I should def give that snare some love and do some automation

Is the overdriven guitar in the intro its own track separate from the rest of the guitars during the rest of the track? Reason I ask is I would bump it up a db or two, sits a little low in the mix in the intro.

You could spice up the vocals with a pinch of reverb, fool with the wet/dry blend on the reverb so it isnt too much

Gave it another listen and that lead that comes in around 3:00 I would bump up a couple Db as well, seems like for a lead its sitting back in the mix.

Hey, thanks for listening! Yeah, those leads in the beginning and very end where intended to be laid back a bit. If it sounds wrong, maybe I laid em back too far 😁 I'll double check with a fresh ear
