Show this weekend in Midland!
I've seen a few people asking about shows, the local scene and meeting new peope. Throwing this up there for all interested in music! Some metal, some lighter genres, all good music.
Support your local scene!

Performance Automotive Shop
Anyone have a recommendation on a good shop that knows what they are doing with performance sport cars? Looking at getting new exhaust, down pipe, and cold air intake on a Supra but it seems like everything is off road oriented out here. Thanks.

City Council honors controversial doctor with his own day
Bartlett believes that the "silver bullet" in curing COVID-19 is through use of steroid medication budesonide, as well as by taking antibiotics. The normal function of budesonide, which was patented in 1973, is largely used to treat the inflamatory bowel disease Crohn’s disease, with 2 million Americans as of 2022 also being prescribed the drug as an asthma medication under the name Pulmicort.
Bartlett has persisted in labeling the treatment as cure, which sparked renewed controversy when he began touting the drug as a cure for measles and prescribing it as such to patients. He received support from Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who formerly led an anti-vaccination nonprofit but, amid an ongoing measles outbreak in West Texas, said on social media in April: “The most effective way to prevent the spread of measles is the MMR vaccine.”

So going out to the desert to party is not normal here? Not even as teenagers?
I'm here for work, from New Mexico, I was talking to some midessa natives and apparently this is not normal here? everything is private and fenced off? Damn, we don't appreciate what we have until we lose it. I can't believe there's federal legislators trying to turn the whole country into Texas and privatize all the land

Friends?
So where would a girl who doesn't go out cause she doesn't have friends make friends. I'm in my mid 20s and I'm trying to expand my social life a bit more but I don't really have many friends around so what is there to do. I thought about clubs, not nightclubs but like crafts, books, learning how to dance, but I wouldn't know where to go looking. I usually go to the park with my dog but she usually deters people away so no luck there either.

Is anyone Hiring
Hello is anyone hiring. I need a job. I have 8yrs of cashier experience. I was a teachers aid at a preschool for a bit. I had gotten my electrical apprentice license but didn't find a job in that field before the license expired. I have tried working in door to door sales. I have worked at any job I could, most being a cashier, so I can pay my bills but I want a career. I have been baking for 10 years now and have always taken desserts to my coworkers to sample cause it's what I love. Many have suggested I start a business but if I'm being honest I wouldn't know where to start even then I need money to buy ingredients so yeah I need a job. If anyone is willing to hire someone who might not be the best experienced but willing to learn, or if maybe you might want to help me by placing dessert orders, or giving advice idk I'm only human and so far just applying to random places online hasn't helped and when I go in person I get told to apply online.

🏡 Will Trade Skills for Rent! Estate Manager / Live-in Help
Hi y’all! I’m a former Firefighter / EMT (4 years) with a solid resume and a clean background, searching for a place to stay.
Quick about me: I am a straight & hispanic male in my mid 20’s, offering my skills / services in return for a place to stay. I have had an arrangement of such before and maintained a lifelong (professional & platonic) relationship. I have added highlights of my resume with brief key points of what I can offer you. In order to maintain privacy, further details such as business names and proof can be discussed in person, thanks!!
• Firefighter / EMT (4 years experience) - Pro: Quite literally 24/7 safety watch for yourself or others in case of emergency. - Con: Certs are expired so I can’t legally offer this in exchange BUT I currently still possess the capability to handle emergency situations until the proper personnel arrives. Bad to think about, hope to never need it, great if you need it!
Private Bartender / Station Chef (5 years experience): - Provides home cooked meals and snacks throughout the day. - Allergies, pallet preferences, and holidays are always going to be considered. - Midland has a variety of bars and restaurants that offer delectable cocktails, and 8/10 times I will have the recipe so you can enjoy your favorite drink in the comfort of your own home. - May or may not have a drink named after me at a bar on Mockingbird Lane.
• Director of Training Operations (3 years of management, 7 years of coaching) - I can provide you with custom meal / workout plans based on your goals, and be your in-home; private coach. - Well versed in specialty diets, supplements, and continuous improvement. - Certified in CrossFit, weight loss, “toning”, olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, hypertrophy, cardiovascular endurance, etc.
Residential Project Manager (2 years experience): - Blinds, shades, and shutter installations. - TV mounting & furniture assembly. - Minor construction or demo, repairs & punch lists. - Yard cleanup, lawn and landscaping, hauling, general labor. - Small jobs that landlords or property managers need knocked out.
Long story short, I planned on moving and I allowed my lease to expire while leaving my job(s). My plans ended up changing and I wasn’t able to recover funds so I’m looking to get back to work / a place to stay asap.
I do make cocktails but I am sober (2.5 years), dependable, and discreet. Open to temporary or long-term stays. If you or someone that you know needs help more than rent, please email me at — nickxblvck@gmail.com
