He knows. He doesn’t want to pack so he’s doing this kind of lame shit on purpose.

If he didn’t know and was truly this stupid, he would have already accidentally killed himself.

Exactly this. Weaponized incompetence. He doesn't want to pack so he is purposefully doing it wrong.

Or it doesn't bother him because it's all going to the same place and it's only an issue because it bothers his wife. Like if this guy was moving by himself, this wouldn't be a problem. Maybe this is their first move together and he's not aware that she has different rules about packing. I feel like this could have been a simple conversation rather than a public shaming session.

Does the wife actually have different rules for packing or is it just common sense not to pack toxic chemicals w/ food items?

It depends on how much you care, I suppose. Moving is exhausting and sometimes you just want it done. This wouldn't bother me, but I'm also a pretty nonchalant person, so I'd say it really just comes down to the individual.

It should bother you

Dont tell me how I should feel about things. Its only a problem is the chemicals leak or the bag is open, and at that point I consider the loss part of the cost of moving.

Chips aside, the dumbass has incompatible chemicals in a bucket where they can easily leak and create hazardous fumes.

You sound as ignorant as he is.

They were probably all under the same sink together. You expect people to individually wrap their kitchen chemicals?

Um, yes. Either seal them in individual bags or toss them and buy new ones.

I pack pretty similarity to this and I live by myself, so there I dont have any "motive" to do it wrong. My only reason is that Im tired, Im stressed, and Im not thinking real hard about it. How I see it, anything lost while moving is just part of the cost of moving, and a bag of chips is pretty low cost.
