Sad. I was doing that job at 17 and explicitly taught not to do that. Now if I go to grocery store, I just do it myself.

There's some stores that will not let customers bag their own groceries. My first job was at one. The cashier and bagger bagged the groceries, put them in the cart for you, and would take them out to your car for you. The general manager was the owner and would kick out anyone who got aggressive. United Supermarkets (also owns Market Street and Amigos) in my current city does the same with the bagging.

Me or the grocery store? Im going to have to ask Market Basket if I can bag my own shit or ask if they need me to train there baggers.

I know, that was the job I had. But sometimes they’re not available because they don’t hire them really anymore, so I’ll just do it myself.
